THE MIRROR AND THE LIE: I think that TM&TL is one of the best pieces of music from the "pop-era". For sure, it's my favourite song from IALC, but that's not a great deal, as I consider IALC an epic fail! I even enjoyed it live at the time (though I'm surely not begging for a return in the setlist).

UN CHIE n D'ESPACE: I want to clarify my ideas on that, because I think I've been misunderstood. There would be a European law that forces MP to play K9 at EVERY SINGLE CONCERT, because it's one of the greatest live experience you can have in lifetime. NONETHELESS, I consider the studio version the highest peak of all 80s and 90s music, the nowadays "Starless", something embarassingly over the top of everything! So it just wins the run between monsters. In NO WAY I think there's something less than divine in the live version!

Talkin' about bad live renditions of studio stuff, well, the acoustic KILL SOME DAY was veeeery lame…

And I'd like to focus on one of my absolute studio favorites, that hardly made it on stage: RAD FREQ. It's probably in my personal top5 from the band, but the only time I had the venture to get it live (Bloom 1998) it was very weak. In fact, it's been abandoned and forgotten, and nevermore played after the Trust Us tour.

At the time, MP toured as a trio. I remember Geb using samples for the silly winds parts, and Bent changing from guitar to bass during the crescendo before the final explosion… They probably found it too elaborate for a good live rendition.

But how about recovering it in a quartet formation? I think that with a fourth element they should manage to rearrange this outstanding song that I've been waiting for 20 years! What do you think?

Yes, yes, yes! I have been begging for a return of the Radiator Freak for 20 years. I got to hear it in 1998 and it was great, even if it was difficult to reproduce live. Lots of audience noise during the quiet bits. But a quartet version would be cool.

I do most urgently support the second coming of Radfreq! MP still has to deliver a live version that beats the Trust US RF.

Another song that's much better in its studio version is A.S.F.E. Not played live very much, but considering the lot of brilliant Tower material available this is probably no loss.

And: The Mirror & The Lie has been one of my favourite MP tracks of the Motorpop Experience. A few great live versions in 2002, but the studio track is unbeatable.

Listening to Trust Us this morning and I'll definitely add my voice to the calls for a return of Radiance Frequency, with a quartet line-up.
