oh nice and in a good quality too.
edit, lol, actually no good quality at all. i only heard some quiet snippet before…
KILLING JOKE
are on german, belgium and finland tour now. go catch 'em! i've seen them this week and they are as astonishing as ever. with additional funtime inserted here and there. ol'geezers going bonkers on stage, a phenomenon i observed recently in lots of old bands. enjoying themselves due to being still around after all these years and in no way hiding it. so even Killing Joke do the occasional funny stunt nowadays.
(at least i dont remember them being funny way back when…)
of course you're right fillmore, but 10 or or 50mins encore do matter a teeeeeny little bit for motorpsychedelihappiness.
hm, already ordered. we'll see.
omg you lucky guys! 8O
and taifun!
makes me even sadder, that 1 and only encore in lausanne.
maybe it was a sunday night curfew issue there…. well it was also a small venue and not full by far. so maybe it was a vibe thing.
Yeah that opening is so awesome!
Yep at the D!club it was. Of course we went to the La Romandie club with our pre-sale tickets as it said so on the ticket and there we were greeted by a closed door labeled "complete" which translates pretty much as "full! sold out! go home losers, haha!". Damn I nearly panicked! Could have written a note on the door that it's been rebooked to that other club just across the plaza. Thankgod we were so smart to walk over to the tourbus we saw before and sure there was the D!club. Phew… 8O
so that would be this then in german: http://www.amazon.de/Abenteuer-Sternenhimmel-Helden-Ungeheuer-Himmelszelt/dp/3210249865/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1335265176&sr=8-2
brilliant! one kiddie birthday present coming up.
Whole gig is up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW7W_MjQRf0&feature=related
nice reviews lomax. drenched with fan admiration but still articulate, competent and profound.
so what is this (for me non-norvegian?)? from an old fantasy tales' book?
It was Halleluwah. Hogwash startet out very funky and then rocked out hard with the mellow Halleluwah jam in there.
So finally first time TDDU live for me. It was [insert random superlatives] as expected. Great sound, great playing and singing, great audience (extremely nonchatty crowd, never experienced this at any show), nice venue, quite small and far from sold out. I can only report what I've seen last night, dunno if any news or differences to the shows so far:
Most of the first half (not too sure about the 2nd anymore) was sung lead in unison by Bent and Snah. A nice take. Sharks was very different than on record that I even thought there's a new song in there, with Bent and Stale singing. Does Stale sing it on the record, too?
Highpoints: the massive moog driven La Lethe, the rock god's gift Mutiny and that long 7/4 part in Through the veil. There was a nice moment at its start, when the PA was turned probably all the way down and we only heard the band's backline with Kenneth's stick work on the snare's rim and body. Then bam! PA back up and on they went.
Complaints? Well sadly no back drop picture and the show felt and was extremely short for MP standards. And way too much cool merchandise, that was some expensive night out.
Ah they have a day off before tomorrow's show. I take this as a good sign. Taking a breather off the routine, relaxing and getting into shape again, thinking of possible new encores and being hot when finally on stage again.
lol:
it's all over the bassists' boards.
