I hope the Oslo-gig is as The Four Musketeers, not just the Three. Anybody know?
I guess "The Wheel(chair)" is too much to hope for?
Finally! It has been a mystery why I should have to stand for 3 hours just because I like rock-music, while fans of other types of music (classical/opera, even some jazzgigs – with their coffeetables!) get to rest their feet.
It's nice to see that the band finally takes the consequences of having middle aged, tired fans with worn out, old legs.
My dream sitlist for the evening:
Have spacesuit, will sit
Cloudsitter
Custer's last sit-down
Sittin' with J.
Vortex Sitter
Now it's time to sit
On my pillow
And the grand finale, 38 min. majestic version of:
The Golden Chair
I really shouldn't…. but:
It's quite entertaining watching you yelling at yourself in the mirror, @doglicksman.
"I just do not get this overly excitable fanboy-attitude towards this new guy."
I don't see "overly excitable fanboy-attitude" anywhere, but I guess you need it to be there to justify your anger, so why not make it up?
"So far, he hasn't proved anything besides not being too familiar or even remotely interested in the band."
Why should he have proved anything at all, so far? They haven't played a single show yet.
"But still: from what I can gather from that article in Adressa (?), the guy do not really seem to be that into it."
Way to interpret an article. But then again, I guess it's needed to justify your heroic stand against the mindless fanboys (who are also secretly cousins of Bent).
And so on, and so on..

I bet everybody who cares about this band is a bit excited, a bit concerned, cautiously optimistic and terrified about the future. And I guess some people find rude rants of internet-bitching about who is the TRUEST fan/lamest fanboi and interpreting the commitment of musicians through newspaper-snippets (in a seriously flawed fashion), and generally behaving like a spoiled little snotshit who can't open his christmaspresents NOW, and thinks that is reason enough to yell at everybody around him, to be the best way to deal with the excitement, I'll give you that…
Others might have other ways of dealing with the situation. I'm not one to judge.
Well, doglicksman, what's not to be positive about here? Motorpsycho goes on, that's enough for me to be happy about for now (and I haven't even had the time to check this partysweed out yet.).
But for a time there, it sure didn't seem like a sure thing that we would have more gigs and records to look forward to, so I don't get the reason for the negativity in your posts. Let's just see (and hear) what's coming first, right?
And there was nothing in that interview that gave me the impression that he has an "attitude problem". Your posts on the other hand..
That is so cool. Terry Pratchetts Discworld novels are pure genious. There is a lot of humor in Motorpsychos lyrics/linernotes etc. (as well as the ever-present affinity for a good pun), so it makes perfect sense that he likes the great PTerry.
Well, I bought a t-shirt that I thought was pretty cool.. but in hindsight, even though I will feel pretty cool wearing it, thinking I'm looking good while promoting my favorite bands' newest album, everybody else will think I'm just another dorky full-grown man in a Batman t-shirt..
Should have gone for the red one, at least..
Great album, nice production, good songs, but too short!
"Running with Scissors" reminds me of how much i liked "in the fishtank…".
Bring on the tour….
Phew… Had given up on a Tromsø-gig this time around.. Great news for us northerners..
Anybody got a red, yellow or green Spidergawd Into tomorrow 7" for sale…?
September 21, 2015 at 17:24 in reply to: 2015-10-17 Motorpsycho plays Demon Box @ Rockheim – Trondheim #28237OK, I know it's a long shot but I have to try:
Anybody with a sunday-ticket for sale for a too-slow Psychonaut?
Otherdemon: Cloudwalker was on the setlist as the first encore, but wasn't played for some reason. To tired at the moment to elaborate about the show, but yeah.. It was great! Zzzzzzzz….
Anybody know the on-time for Stian Westerhus and/or MP tomorrow, have to plan the evening, and it would be good to know..
yeah, because that's what we really need. More people singing along to make the shows better.. Why not post the sheet-music for the bass-lines so we can all hum along to them instead?
(just some friendly sarcasm here, GBD. Don't take it the wrong way. An official lyrics-page would be great idea, so I second that request. But if it leads to more people singing along during shows, I think I can get by with my own interpretation of the words..)
So fuck what every journalist is saying. What do you guys think about the album?
My 2 cents:
The record is getting better and better each time I listen to it.
For now, my favorite is "Hell part 4-6", hope they play it next weekend at rockefeller, sounds like a helluva grand, good jam in there. The first time we've gotten that eastern feel from our boys!
Every song is getting better, and I hear new things every time; Just how it should be with a new MP-album! Wasn't like that with "Eggplant", in my case, so I'm glad to have that feeling back..
The only thing that bugs me about it is doesn't seem like an album, but more like a collection of songs. But maybe that will pass in a few more listens..
