I’m glad they changed venue in Milan, they played amazing shows in Trezzo but that venue was too big and impersonal for them. Santeria’s nice, I’ve seen some pretty good shows there (Sleep, Ride, Madrugada, Built to Spill…)
No, I really don't think that any part of NOX was played, certainly not before Lacuna, and it's not on the setlist. Perhaps you're thinking of Running with Scissors?
I was at this one and Trezzo. Torino was definitely much much better in terms of sound quality (or maybe it's just that everything sounds great after Trezzo? haha) but I was a bit disappointed in the setlist, especially after the amazing one they played in Trezzo. Also, in Torino they played no more than 2 hours, perhaps a couple of minutes less than that. I'm sad that I didn't get to hear NOX (nor United Debased, nor Transmutation, which imho are the 2 standout tracks on KOO), and yesterday was a bit too focused on the 2016-2019 period, which is great but those are all songs which I've seen live a lot. On the plus side, Starhammer was amazing (first time for me with Tomas), I was happy to hear Plan #1 after 12 years, and a show that ends in Vortex Surfer cannot be a bad one, right?
Regarding the note on the setlist after VS, it means "or something similar", right? Does something similar to VS really exist?
Thank you, I hope to come across a recording so that I can pay closer attention to that.
@Bron, ok my bad then, I know the Can version but I'd never heard it live from MP so I probably just missed it. Was it before Spin?
Unreal show. Of the 8 times I've seen them, this was the very best. The magic started right from the first notes of a great Year Zero and never stopped for a minute. 3 full hours of all killer, no filler. The epics were all magnificent, especially a monumental version of the Mountain featuring quite probably the most far-out jam I've witnessed for that tune (the extended psychedelic section of the Tower was crazy too). The small venue made for a very loud and rocky show (luckily I had my earplugs, and it was STILL loud) and the setlist seemed designed specifically for that, with all powerful versions of ASFE, Bonny Lee, Howgwash, Jig. The acoustics were surprisingly good, however, even during the mellower numbers: California, Feel and especially Mad Sun were all highlights. To top it off, an unbelievable version of Fool's Gold ended the night on a fantastically high note. Truly a show for the ages.
(I might be wrong, but I don't think there was a Halleluwah snippet during Hogwash, "just" Hog and a complete Spin Spin Spin woven into it).

Well, picture me surprised, and quite happily so. 10 Italian dates in one year, just wow!
@ pfnuesel, I don't think they ever did Italy in two different periods of the same year, they certainly didn't in the last 10 years. With the 5 dates we just got, I'd say that's very unlikely. But of course I hope with all my heart that I'm wrong, it would be fantastic if they came back so soon.
Thank you very much to both of you!
Apparently there will be five (!) Italian dates next year, actually. Avellino (southern Italy, near Naples) may be a first?
28.05 TREZZO SULL’ADDA (MI), Live Music Club
29.05 BOLOGNA, Zona Roveri Music Factory
30.05 AVELLINO, Teatro Partenio
31.05 ROMA, Orion
01.06 GENOVA, Goa Boa Preview
28.05.2019 – IT Trezzo sull'Adda (MI), Live Club
YES!!!
So it's official that they're not coming to Italy this year? Gutted.
Do you think they'll be coming to Italy before (or after) the German November dates, or that's it?
Do you think that there are still some dates to add to the tour or is that it? It'd be strange for them to miss Italy entirely…
Wow! Please tell me this was recorded!
