On Instagram someone asked: What the ??? I am 10 minutes away are we meeting up?
The response from "onkelfuzzbass" (which must be Bent, yeah?): yeah, hop on by whenever! tracking and doing it, so anytime is as good as any
@ boomer – I just checked out his FB page too. I love it where someone asks who he is with in the studio and his response is "Fuzzbass & God".
And yes, he confirms they're recording with Scheps.
I was just doing some digging and discovered that the band posted on Instagram on 9 March 2017 when they were in the studio in LA and The Tower was released early September. That's a five month period from studio to release. Based on that, we could see the next album in January. So when Bent said "after Christmas", he wasn't joking. I'm new to all this, but it seems to me that when the band say they're going to do something, there's a pretty good chance it'll happen. This makes a change from being a Yes fan: they do so many interviews and whenever they mention anything to do with new material, it usually turns out to be nothing.
I can't wait for more news.
@ boomer – Makes my day too!!
I've been waiting for this news since Bent announced after their gig in Timisoara in March that he hoped a new album would be out some time after Christmas. Great news!!
Now on Dime.
Thanks to all who made it so. You know who you are
None of the special boxsets appear on Spotify in the UK.
Yep. I need this in my life. I've got a lot of catching up to do.
Year Zero – Düsseldorf (not my video)
@Devotional Thanks. It's been a pretty blessed journey so far, but what blows my mind is the band have been doing this for so many years already and now I've been lucky enough that I got nudged into their sphere.
I was fortunate enough to hear both The Wheel and Plan #1 in London last year, my first MP gig. I had only heard each of them maybe only a couple of times before the gig. Seeing them play The Wheel again yesterday was mind-blowing. And something one of my UK friends said was really true, it's good to see them where the appreciation is so strong. It's very lacklustre in the UK. At both Köln and Düsseldorf I could clearly see the band getting off on the energy. My plan #1 is to get back to see them in Germany hopefully next year. But before that… Drammen!
Yeah. It was mind-blowing. My friend's from the UK who first got me into MP both said it was their best MP gig. My first time seeing them play Year Zero nearly had me in tears. A pair of lovers in front of me (You know who you are) were obviously also connecting big time through that song – you two touched my heart. Highlights for me were Y0, Starhammer, Sonata, a massive Wheel, and Fools Gold. For me last night was all about heart. I wanted to hug everyone in the room and got the chance to hug a few lovely psychonauts who I'd met last year in Köln or at Alkmaar this year as well as some new ones last night. Big shout out to boomer, wulf, nika, tomcat, the other anders, (just in time) ingo, and alli. Hope to see you all down the road. :STG: <3 <3
Running late. Will be at the Brauhaus about 1745-1800.
Yeah it's really fucking hot in Düsseldorf.
Another vote for A Pacific Sonata here. I saw them play it in Alkmaar and it was my favourite of the night. But my friends from UK who are with me have not seen them play it and I know one of them loves it. Fingers crossed.
I've been listening to a bit of Love Machine. The music's a bit dated but it's got a great US West Coast pysch vibe à la Jefferson Airplane et al. I'm looking forward to seeing how they sound on stage. Having said that I'd rather have three hours of MP
@Johnny. Sorry to hear you won't be making it. We'll miss you.
Good question. It'd be good to see you again Johnny. Hope you manage to make it.
