TB: good question, I’m not sure, I haven’t been there, I just meant to say that western Norway in general is great. You can fly to Ørsta/Volda, but I think it’s extremely expensive to fly to those small palaces. And bus… http://www.nor-way.no/wsp/nbe/frontend.cgi?session=f7482f83b5065b7cfb9b235e5c784a&func=publish.show&func_id=1203&table=CONTENT

A little recommendation for those planning to visit from abroad, if you’re remotely interested in scenery and travel in general, I would go to Nordfjoreid. Some flickr pics

Thanks for the input as always. I have 2 things I’m trying to find time for now: 1) Copy the old posts in the old forum over to this one and 2) Replace the old static main page with maybe the front page to the forums, and make a section with “Old static files”.

Why only Alive II and not I? It’s I that’s the classic.

According to this, they played with Attila The Stockbroker on vocal and a person with a gorilla mask on keyboards. http://www.adressa.no/kultur/article1288390.ece

someone at the Bylarm trade show in Oslo said that it was lousy in Trondheim right now, but there is a new wave of indie bands from Bergen. Bent countered, etc.

Which features are that? Notice I linked to a plugin list. I like this system, it has RSS and tags default, it has a working Ignore user plugin. And more invisible: much cleaner admin UI, I think a bit cleaner plugin API (the way plugins are wired into the system), although phorum was pretty decent in that area too.

The handling of skins/themes has always been lousy in phorum (with bad mix of CSS and non-CSS formatting, for those technically inclined), it was always a hassle to upgrade from one phorum version to another, that tended to break plugins, themes. Time will show if this is better in that aspect.

About those old postings, we’ll see about that one, at least they are available.

Generally it is cool to be with a WordPress product, they are among the hottest names in the trade.

And this default skin looks nice, although it breaks with the rest of the site of course. Will try to fix.

I think the next thing to do, is to redo the whole site with a more user-centric feel, more in vein of a blog/wiki, let users help maintain front page stories, get more admins. One guy said that there are too few updates, and that is a fact, I don’t think people would come to this site a lot if it wasn’t for the forums. :)

Off to play some Resistance 2 now… fine game.
