I would like a six vinyl box set containing all the songs played during the Autumn tour of Europe. Am I asking too much? Maybe leave out tracks from RW5 (only for the sake of space) but that just leaves out Un Chien d’espace, Ship of Fools and Manmower. If they had to limit it to just three discs then I would plump for the ones with the **.
Psychotzar **
The Crucible
Mountain **
The Tower
Uberpilgrim **
Fools Gold **
A Pacific Sonata
Mad Sun **
Hogwash **
Bonny Lee **
You Lied **
No Evil
Dreamhome **
Spin Spin Spin
Granny takes a trip
Song for a Bro
Year Zero **
Upstairs/Downstairs
The Jig is up
California (I’m so sold)
August
Feel **
Mockingbird
Greener
A Song for Everyone
Manmower
Starhammer **
Hey Jane
Lux Aeterna **
Black 2 Comm
Pills Powders etc **
The Light Fantastic
On my Pillow **
The Alchemyst
For Mad Men Only
Triggerman **
On a Plate
Ship of Fools
Nothing to say **
Cuckoo
THE WHEEL
Un Chien d’espace
Into the Sun

Being a relatively recent MP convert, I quickly realised there were a good few side projects to explore, Sugarfoot being one of them. I decided to start with Santa Ana (wonderfully red vinyl edition) and have come to the conclusion that the title track is my new favourite song.
Thanks everyone. This is a good and responsive forum.
Thanks @knoot. My word, you're right. What was I looking up earlier? The person looking to get €300 is optimistic.

Blue Oyster Cult are legends. Some of my BOC fan friends are true hard core fans. One of the UK fans has seen them on every European show since the mid 80s as well as in the US, over 150 times. There is one particular "überfan" in the US who had seen them over 300 times. The band even gave him a card during gig number 250. If Bent is a fan of the first three or four albums (five if you include the live On Your Feet Or On Your Knees) then he is clearly a man of taste. As @airguitarhero said the first four/five are must have in any serious rock music collection.
By the way, is there or has there been a thread here about covers which MP has done? I love their partial version of Wishbone Ash's Pilgrim.
Thanks. I stopped indexing Prog after issue 93 so that prompts me to go back and finish it off.
I used to keep an index of the articles in Prog magazine as I kept all the issues and kept going back to them to find something. MP albums including reissues have been reviewed 12 times since 2010 and they only had two feature articles, the most recent around the release of The Tower.
Feature Title Prog Issue Month Year
Reissues Timothy's Monster 12 December 2010
Discworld Roadwork Vol. 4: Intrepid Skronk 18 July 2011
The Musical Box The Death Defying Unicorn 24 March 2012
Take A Bow Highbury Relentless Garage 12/4/12 26 May 2012
Echoes Blissard 32 December 2012
The Musical Box Still Life With Eggplant 35 April 2013
Feature Harvest of ideas 37 July 2013
The Musical Box Behind The Sun 44 March 2014
Take A Bow Camden Jazz Café 28/5/14 47 July 2014
Echoes Demon Box 53 February 2015
The Musical Box En Konsert For Folk Flest 57 July 2015
Echoes Supersonic Scientists: A Young Person's Guide To.. 61 November 2015
The Musical Box Here Be Monsters 64 March 2016
The Musical Box The Tower 80 September 2017
Feature Towering above 81 October 2017
One of the reasons (I suspect at least) that MP is not bigger in the UK is that they get very little relevant or appropriate music press coverage at least not in the mags I read and I read a lot of them. By comparison you can't open Prog Magazine without some feature on Big Big Train, Riverside, IQ etc. Perhaps they just need a promoter here.
@suntripper, I agree with you. Bristol is very different to any other UK city, slightly off centre, creative, lots of alternative life styling. When asked by Americans I compare it to a city like Portland, OR or even San Franaisco. As for venues there is also The Thekla once it reopens, The Marble Factory or even the Colston 2. The Exchange on Old Market Upstairs at the O2 Academy would be another option. Plenty of good small to medium sized venues to choose from.
Thanks @mister conclusion. I knew if anyone knew the answer to the BOC question it would be the fans on a Motorpsycho board.
Ah, I knew you good people would know and this was in fact an "age old" topic. Just listening to Heavy Metal Fruit for the first time….I'm so happy!!
