A few hundred people in London is great I think since mp do not have a label or tour support in the UK.
Otherwise society should have talkers and brutes be thrown out or at least officially complimented to the back. I prefer people being high than drunk – alcohol makes people chatty and rude!
"Kleine Zaal" sounds interesting, seems max 400ppl incl. balcony do fit in there – never been in there… Pre excitement is starting here
Wow!
It's a project. It's not motorpsycho as we know it. It's a nut to crack. It's strange to have an album where quite a few episodes do not work for oneself. It's strange and less exciting to think of the upcoming live shows since the sets are 96% known in advance.
And: It's going to be the album before another "more common" motorpsycho album and tour
My highlights of the unicorn are Hollow Lands/Veil, La Lethe and Into the Mystic (!) btw.
Hope you'll be postively surprised in April Rune.
Great find! mp cut down to straight TV-format, hehe
But is the audience really not allowed to move their heads at NRK?!
Two shows on one day will be a lot to assimilate, but flying in to Oslo for the opera it would be a sacrilege not to go in the afternoon as well. Since there are so many artists involved it might simply be an logistical reason that they do two shows on Sunday – everyone is available.
I have the feeling we should not expect too many encores, at least there are only 3 hours between both shows and you have to empty the place inbetween as well (though I am sure more than 80% will be double-visitors.) One great extra tune would do, the available instruments could bring up some mp-nuggets :MPD:
Received two separate tickets (500 nok each) btw., just like with the first order.
I'll be right behind you then
Tickets already on sale *NOW* at the opera website! Still a nice choice but seats are selling fast…
Thanks for the info… two shows on day – too much to witness?
Ohoo – may this be on Saturday then, please.
Requests for possible encores
Taifun, 577, V.S., Close Your Eyes (long), Painting The Night Unreal, The Wheel, The Golden Core + Covers: Indiscipline, 21 St Century Schizoid Man, Starless (by K.C.)
Well, just dreaming…
Danke Stooka
"This album makes King Crimson appear like dwarves" is a bit over euphoric (blasphemic even ) by the author I think, but Bent referring to KC's most fiercely phase when talking about what to expect from the upcowing shows rises expectations here
I wonder why different sources are talking about this album having "more than two hours playing time" – was that written in the press info or can some people simply not count correct (84 minutes = 2h4m)?! In the end it might be that Molde show of 2h+ causing confusion…
Anyone ever been to "Anker"-Hostel (not hotel)? Seems like a reasonable place in the centre on a budget…
This would be around the "Zappenale"-Fest August 4 in Northeast Germany then – hmmmm!
I think this album presented as a fourpiece will indeed be much more "mp" and so those who do not like it, should see a show if doable.
The only strange thing would be the separation of "complete unicorn" and "surprising encores" if it happens like this in the end…
Looking forward to have that big Brocken served live and I do not worry about future mp albums: "Dog Parade" from the latest autumn concerts goes in a very promising direction – this might even be a huge part of the sound they do as a quartet this spring
Tickets arrived today – yay :MPD:
Was there any word if this performance is going to happen in Oslo only?
Guess it would be hard (expensive) to bring all people together elsewhere, but it would be good to know before investing in flights and ho(s)tel…
