HARRY, are you going with friends already? I am thinking to come over from Düsseldorf (Berlin next day is too far) and wonder if I could join someone – wouldn't go alone
BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE are indeed not obviously MP-ish since they appear more "poppy" on records, and they may seem "weird" in the first moment with their wall of sound. But once you realize that it all works together in complex structures and pure musical understanding, you'll find a whole glittering universe of melodies. And I love they guys themselves as well – just great
Nearly had my ticket for HALLOGALLO Cologne on the desk, but finally cannot go for family reasons
MICHAEL ROTHER live 2005 and was amazing: brilliant soundwaves at the time – you knew where "The Wheel" comes from
– plus adorable straight krautish beats (which you can also find in latest BSS
)
BATTLES are amazing, too – sad their killer-drummer left to go solo…
Anyone from the forum going to see BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE in Amsterdam November 19? Incredible live band, they are playing with Tortoise…
Nice to have the band ending this year with some live show(s) – a good chance for trying new stuff in front of smaller crowds
Got ur gear ready taper friends?
Hehe, hope to meet you in the final ;-p
Wow, looking forward this big come-together
Netsrak, yuo’re having the “Weekender” on your list, too? I am seriously thinking of dropping mp cologne if more good names are popping up – and one time TSOOL is a must, too (though they’re playing the same evening as Yo La Tengo over here in the west – bummers!)
Well – maybe they are simply recalling the last mp gig in 1998 (?) in their old place
Wow, 14th is a Saturday! Count me in for this one – plus Vera on the way?! Thanks for the news mate
Count me in for lovely Lido at Berlin, too ;-]
Vera would be something…! And Hannover should also be on the list again I think
Gebäude 9 is a nice small “broken” place in a former industrial place in Cologne and many many great bands have been playing there over the past few years before they went to the big places. Nothing special regarding sound or view, but very “alternative” and “back to the old days”… damn!
Ohh no, instead of being happy about mp playing beloved little Gebäude 9 in Cologne, it crosses plans with “Rolling Stone Weekender” at the North/East coast
What a life! Anything else to be expected in Benelux or other? Thanks for the news all the same…
oh ha, means at least two off days – hope(d) for some nice gigs friday/saturday before
great that more gigs are comming up!
I vote for Hamburg Markthalle, Hannover Glocksee and Groningen Vera (both too small I’m afraid…) being added. Utrecht Tivoli within the week welcomed, too
Wow, this is brilliant news! Always wanted to see the “Lido”, very nice venue – and majestic band
Yay!!!
Wow, interesting – especially the new names and “SS 4” (funny that the reviews are proofed now
Thanks for posting!

Smells like some late autumn or early spring live performances, too if the guys are on fire with new tracks… there’s hope :-]
