WOOOW…..COOL!!!!!!!
…and I really hope for a recording…
I totally agree with Thomas.
Definitely one of the best MP-shows I've seen since 1995.
Dreamsetlist for me and brilliant sound, better than Cologne.
Some "best version I've ever heard of this song live" last night:
K9, Ocean, Ratcatcher, Taifun, Manmower & Arne Hassle were all mindblowing!!!
May be I should cancel the mini-tour next weekend
But on the other hand, maybe we'll get 577, Vortex Surfer, The Wheel, Hogwash and LLM (no, I'm joking).
Looking forward to München, Dresden, Hamburg.
…and btw, after the concert was finished they played "Raining Blood" by Slayer, RIP Jeff Hannemann…

"The Afterglow" on CD at april-issue of german "visions"-magazine.
Surftex: We'll arrive at 14.00 in Munich will take this train connection from Munich to Dresden:
ICE 1508 München Hbf ab 11:15 – Nürnberg Hbf an 12:31

The connections from Dresden to Hamburg are more expensive.

And YES! We should definitely meet up!
Hi TraktorBass, me and one, respectively two friends, doing the same MP-WE-Tour! A friend from Dresden recommended the hostel http://www.mondpalast.de. We've already booked a 3-bed-room for one night. They still have free rooms left.
Two of us start friday in Cologne (already booked the train) and meet a friend who will arrive from Italy. Saturday morning we'll go together by train to Dresden.
One friend has to go back from Dresden to Cologne.
Two of us still looking for a cheap possibillity to go from Dresden to Hamburg and from Hamburg back to Cologne.
Are you doing this tour by car or are you also going by train?
Yeah, that would be GREAT!!!
The album is mindblowing!!! Heavy rotation since I got it two weeks ago. Even Helte Hermansen, guitarist of Bushman's Revenge, who also plays guitar on "Grand General", picked up a copy for me of the limited (500) first vinyl edition (incl. Bonus CD) before they started their short 10th anniversary-tour. He brought it to me to their gig in Solingen (Germany). Really nice guys and stunning performance in front of ca. 20 people! If you don't know them check them out!!!
Grand General
Ola Kvernberg: violins, viola
Even Helte Hermansen: guitar
Erlend Slettevoll: keyboards
Trond Frones: bass
Kenneth Kapstad: drums
01 antics 12:20
02 the fall of troy 6:30
03 clandestine 4:07
04 tachyon 6:25
05 ritual 6:02
06 red eye 11:02
It reminds me of Mahavishnu Orchestra, 70's King Crimson and other early 70's Jazz- and ProgRockBands. GREAT Album, GREAT cover (by Kim Hiorthoy). A definitely must have!!! Hope I have the chance to see them live one day…
You can listen to short snippets here:
Kenneth wrote me the following on facebook:
"Grand General album will be out in february/march. I'm not shure when yet.
I really hope that we can release monolithic album this year."
Great idea!
SIGNED!
My third ( and last ) show on this tour and definitely the best! Very good sound, better than Eindhoven and Cologne. And a different, powerfull version of TDDU again…
@Thomas: Nice to meet you again! Let's keep in contact…
A big THANK YOU to spacebandit. He did a great job again, like always…
The best sounding recording from the tour until now!
Great show!!! Started late (21.30) but next 2 hours they've done a fantastic performance!
Kenneth's drumming was unbelievable…Snah's guitarsound was a bit to low where I stood (in the middle), otherwise loud but good sound.
TDDU 90 min, Starhammer and Close Your eyes about 15 min each.
I also realised Close Your Eyes after Bent started singing. Definitely a new version (to me).
Looking forward to Leuven…
