I loved it.
Heavy shit. I lost it on Hogwash.
I'll have to applaud the crowd, though. So quiet, so, so quiet. Don't think I've ever *not* heard the crowd during a Dutch gig. Brilliant.
Not sure i would have put either Bubbles or Neverland on a wishlist before the gig, but hey, ho, I thoroughly enjoyed the entire onslaught!
(They better play Lux in October/November, though… Just sayin'…)
That Fools Gold… Mama Mia!
Oh, how I would love to hear Sheer Profundity again! And Home of the Brave!
The House at Pooneil Corners.
Oh well, it's not like I have any hair to headbang with anymore, so I guess it's all for the best.
I got both albums last week, and RW3 has been stuck on my record player ever since.
That Stained Glass… Brilliant!
Still need to find time to really listen to RW5. Checked out Taifun. Not bad, at all.
Meh, who am I kidding. RW3 it is!
Hogwash!
:STG:
Cool! I might have to download this to see what type of magic sauce the Spacebandit applied to the recording.
Thanks a lot for getting it out there, Mr. Bandit!
Ah, so you were one of the guys standing out in front of the venue just before it started, I guess, Punj Lizard.
I should have been more awake and introduced myself when I came over.
You'll have to forgive me, but I hadn't seen Anders in a bunch of years, it was good to catch up.
Next time I'll come say hi. I'll be wearing a fake beard and have a newspaper under my left arm. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
I didn't have issues with the sound during the gig. It was loud, sure, but all instruments were distinguishable from where I stood.
Only minus, perhaps, being Reine's instruments mixed in quite a lot softer than Snah/Bent. Fair enough, I guess, they're Snah/Bent after all, but Reine made some marvellous noise throughout the entire gig. It's easier to hear on the recording.
Highlight for me was Taifun, for sure.
The restart at the end was unexpected and excellent.
Very nice to see old familiar faces in the audience! Felt like good old days!
Not the best MP gig I have seen, but hey, they can't all be the best, right?
Anyway, while I am waiting for time to process the rest, here's a link to Taifun:

In the spirit of 'a box full of Californias', how about this little gem (which I don't have, unfortunately):
A Lot of Sorrow, the National's collaboration with the Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson, found the band playing their song "Sorrow" repeatedly for six hours at MoMA PS1. They've now released the entire performance as a box set composed of nine clear LPs featuring approximately 105 iterations of the song.
Anyway – looking forward to RW-V!
And, I must say, I agree with Johnny in the post above here. Although I'd go further back in time.
Most of my hair fell off during that first meeting with Kenneth and the (then unnamed) LLM suite on that festival in Den Haag (when was this? 2006? 2007?). Still hasn't grown back.
Excellent news, this. Two new RW LPs.
The April tour comes too soon, right? This won't end up as merch?
Oh yes, #metoo!

Well done! Very cool list.
Only unique performance I can say for sure to have witnessed is "Punch".
But I did see most (all?) gigs in and around Trondheim from '91-'94 so I'm sure there are more.
Quote:I'll check. Bought the yellow one in Amsterdam. Haven't look at it, yet.Sorry, I've got all four sides.
Quote:Bought a yellow one at the Leipzig Show, sadly it has Sides A/B twice in it…anybody with a version with C/D twice out there ????I'll check. Bought the yellow one in Amsterdam. Haven't look at it, yet.
80+
First gig: Lobotomizer release party, Uffa, Trondheim. '91, I guess?
He did play horn on Taifun, but from where I was standing it was inaudible.
Looked good, though.
