There will be another single show in Aalborg February 2026, so why not?

Aalborg Norhern Winter Festival February 5th 2026

Motorpsycho – Northern Winter Beat 2026

And the first festival date for summer 2026:

      Åndalnes “Trollkauk”-Festival July 9th 2026

Motorpsycho Live – Trollkauk Festival 2026

Great to get another previously uncirculated recording.

But: This is not from May 11th 1999 (Motorpsycho played on that date at that venue, too!) but from June 5th 1998. The 1998 setlist matches exactly:

        S.T.G.
        Hey, Jane
        Heartattack Mac
        Feel
        Un Chien D’Espace
        Superstooge/The Wheel
        The Other Other Fool
        You Lied
        Black To Comm
        ——-
        Hogwash
        Vortex Surfer

The show from May 11th 1999 had a different setlist:

        Un Chien D’Espace
        The Other Other Fool
        Heartbreaker
        Step Inside
        Hey, Jane
        S.T.G.
        Young Man Blues
        All Is Loneliness
        Superstooge
        The Wheel
        California Dreamin’
        High Time
        You Lied
        Hogwash
        Black To Comm
        Summertime Blues
        Vortex Surfer

There were two support acts, this was probably a reason not to play the usual 2,5 hours.

Thank you Francesco! It is really great to get first hand information of a dedicated fan like you.

Stalemate was played in 1994 twice (acoustic versions) and about 7 times in 2001. The performance yesterday was the first one since Bielefeld 2001-10-12.

There is no recording known. Rumours say that the show was officially filmed. I can’t remember a confirmation or a denial of this rumour.

The longest show which I know (and it was recorded) was in Leuven September 23rd 2022, more than 3,5 hours.

Every show which was even longer and recorded would be a new information for me.

Thank you. Did you count “Gong” (the improvisation in Ciampino, Bern, Dresden and Bremen)? It was listed as “Gong” on the Bremen setlist. I would count it, too.

About recordings: This is the first tour with every show being recorded (and many shows with multiple recordings). The hard drives are full with raw files. The recordings need to be listened to, maybe improve the sound or the levels, cut some talks before the shows (I listened to some private chats because the recorder was already switched on) and so on.

I like the idea of the archive.org and everybody is welcome to share my recordings (at least one good person has already uploaded my recording of the Dresden 2022 show) but I will not deal with it in the next weeks.

It is good to read such a statement from someone who was not at the concert…

The recording is on dime and it really turned out fine.

Wow, the only show with two long encores and more than three hours playing time!

And even a tour debut on the final show (Superstooge)!

A recording will “surface” tomorrow on dime.

Yes, my only show on this tour, too but what a great one!

The band started – like in Bern – with a six minute long improvisation. An ear witness told me that it was similiar with the Bern impro.

I compared it with the “Köln” track on Roadwork V: The Dresden impro is darker, gloomier. The guitar licks are much different.

I liked it that the band played six songs of the new albums (Neigh! and the self titled one) – If they don’t play the new songs now when else can I hear them?

The tour is almost over but the long songs (Gullible, Neotzar and Tower) are still played, even in the second half of the set.

Wow, I did not expect any more tour debut’s!

The three songs are number 61, 62 and 63 of different songs which have been played on this tour so far.

Probably no technical issues – they write about “ear fatigues and fever”. Maybe someone is ill or mentally exhausted.

This can happen on a long tour with almost no day offs and long travel distances.

Don’t forget that the core band members are between 50 and 60 years old (like me).
