Thanks a lot for this long review Anders, interesting reading. I won’t be able to see MP live myself until Oya in August..
I’ve got the reversed version. I’m 19 now, and I guess I can thank my dad for all the music he has shared with me (in particular Neil Young- I went to my first concert at the age of three!). However, he has never been into Motorpsycho. I showed him a couple of classic albums, and he really digs it. Also, being at a international school, many friends from all over the world has been convinced that Norwegian music is actually awesome. Yesterday I shared a bottle of wine (or two?) with a friend from Malaysia whilst listening through Blissard, analysing every sound. Got at least ten international friends here that really like MP, but are not fully developed Psychonauts yet. Time will tell
I’ve been a fan myself since the age of 13, it was actually my music teacher in secondary school that showed it to me. ‘Guess you got to “teach your children well”! I can not wait to hear Timothy’s Monster live this summer, remember that I was three years old myself when it was released!Enjoyed reading your stories guys, cheers!
Will this little beauty be released on CD format as well? Anyone, help?
Trousers guys…
Just voted:
TM: 3
AaDaP: 2
BH/BC: 1
My favourite album in general is Blissard (not a difficult choice for me), but I don’t think it would be that good live. Would Bent be able to do the vocals?
So guys, imagine the tender “Feel” blended in with the catchy “Wearing Yr Smell” and “Now It’s Time to Skate”, followed by the epic piece “The Golden Core”! TM is probably the best (and safest) choice overall. CAN’T WAIT!
Is 3 the highest score (3-2-1) or is it (1-2-3)?
Was able to track this down using Dampsaba, it wasn’t on our list yet. Now it is added

“Like a Hurricane” – Hvelvet, Flekkefjord, 12.03.1996 (no recording known)
Got my hands on a copy last night, and I’ve had four full play-throughs allready. This album is absolutely amazing, by far one of the best MP albums (so far)
Juergen, absolutely fantastic! Thank you very much for all this information, top post is updated

Mark, of course you’re right, a few vocal lessons wouldn’t hurt. But then again, there is a special edge to Bent’s singing when he IS pushing his voice, something unique that makes me want to listen to the records again and again. But the problem will arise; for how long will he be able to sing at all if he continues to push his voicelike he does today? One’s voice tears down over the years…
But hell, let’s point out that Neil Young can’t sing at all (even though he somehow still can), and he’s my all-time favorite artist!
The first unofficial Neil Young cover list looks like this. Thanks!

If you have more information regarding other MP/TITS NY covers, or additional information to the list above, it is highly appreciated
Cool thread!
I’m currently working on a solo project, doing something I would refer to as “acoustic rock”. I guess it’s not very Motorpsychodelic, but songs like “Feel” have been very inspiring. An EP will be recorded in June/July, so I guess I could get back to you guys when I’ve got something to showcase
I have not received anything yet… I’m getting quite desperate, especially after reading tons of epic reviews. Oh, mailman, have you got something for me soon?
I’m going to update the list with the information Juergen provided.
Thanks a lot so far guys!
Wow, that’s quite interesting. Send me an e-mail if you feel like telling me more about that, not many people have heard of the school at all.. Did you put that bootleg on Dimeadozen? Awsome song indeed
Alright, thanks for the info Fillmore. Are you refering to the (in)famous club with your nick by the way? Thinking about Neil Young’s legendary concert there (Fillmore East) in 1970 with Crazy Horse. Great live album indeed!

Welsh Rarebit, are you really Welsh? My school is an international one called United World College of the Atlantic, situated approx. 30 min from Cardiff. Apart from the download restrictions it’s a fantastic school, and I guess I could go to a internet cafe with my laptop sometime, if I ever had time left over that is.. I’m Norwegian btw.
