Bring back g35!
Livedownloads.com could provide that service. This idea is not too far-fetched. The band just needs to decide for it.
Being an avid collector of live music in all formats (vinyl, CD, CD-R, digital) I could see myself spending a considerable amount of money for FLAC/mp3 downloads of MP concerts. I think I could not resist to purchase at least one show a week or similiar which would equate maybe 30-50€ a month.
Holy crap!
I have a few Dropbox download links readily available with recent shows (Köln, Hasselt, Darmstadt, Dresden, Hamburg) in Flac/.rar format. Drop me a line at mpnews[at]motorgigs[dot]org if you need a fix!
A great audio recording reveals hot versions of "Hell", "Ãœberpilgrim", "Adolf Hissler" and "All is Loneliness". Even the clapping during the latter makes sense when listening on the setero. It felt a bit awkward live. Really, great stuff! Thank you SpaceBandit!
He is right about one thing though: The torrent technology has singlehandedly annihilated the sharing/swapping/helping out for free culture among tapers and unreleased-live-music-aficiniados. Many communities have faded to exist including the actual Motortrades list/community. What is left is the Motortrades tracker and Dime.
Ps: Be, if you still need help e-mail me at mpnews[at]motorgigs.org and I will send you a few Dropbox download links of recent recordings
I said the "magic flow was missing". The disrupted and mixed setlist prevented them from really slipping into the magic zone. There were no transitions between the songs. Instead of a fluent jammy set we got a collection of great individual songs that were all played to perfection. The best moment might have been the first 30+ minutes (Year Zero, Hell, Ãœberpilgrim). Another highlight was the altered "STG" outro during which they went way out there, a solid 15 min "Arne H", a wild "August" and an emotional "Fool's Gold". "Bro" was nice to hear and Snah's solo was insane but it didn't really sit comfortable with the rest of the set. Absolute highlight was "Hell"! Indeed one of the better Hamburg shows, maybe the best since Markthalle 2000. Berlin 28.04. however was more my kind of Motorpsycho show
Now we are only missing "Nathan Daniel's Tune From Hawaii" in regards to "Blissard" songs…
Wow, looks/sounds like an outstanding show!!!
The other setlist thread states "Arne H" instead of "Manmower > Wheel"…? Great to see "Pilgrim" still in there! "K9" AND "Song for a bro" would have been a sick second encore, argh!!!
Yes, it was!
Some timings: "Ratcatcher" 10 min, "Arne H" 10 min, "Un chien" 22 min and "Ãœberwagner/Pilgrim" probably exceeded 10 min. The latter was very radically reworked. "Pilgrim" is a very cool rhythmic funky jam that was pure fun and quite long. Amazing show through and through!
