Top score 6/6 in Bergens Tidende:
Kenneth Kapstad is really driving this band by now. During the impro-part in some song I can´t remember, Snah & Bent is following him, he is taking full control, and in the end – he is doing the count-in to the main-part again – not Bent!
Glow was magnificent! Year Zero was a perfect starter. Sinful, windborne – goosebumps! The Golden Core: Kapstad playing the keys while drumming (hit a midi-drum and played off samples. Too bad they were not in tune with Snah and Bent, but it didnt take away too much of the magical ending of a great concert!
Ok, I´m all out now. All of you who posted should have got invites now. Enjoy!
Looking forward to 17.10…
Motorpsycho´s #1, let´s keep them there.
As far as I can understand, the ten albums with the most votes will decorate the museum, and now Motorpsycho is on second place of the top-ten.
With 1825 votes on second place, and 266 votes on tenth place, I would say it is pretty much guaranteed already that Timothys Monster will be one of the ten.
Thanks GBD!
The repress was released in 02/03 if I remember correctly.
Doesn’t people show up on Big Bang and Kaizers? They are very popular, and probably draws more people than MP.
The booking seems a lot more “safer” this year, compared to last year.
I bet next festivaldate is coming soon, and that it will be Storås-festivalen.
March 17, 2009 at 19:07 in reply to: The order in which you’ve acquired Motorpsychos releases #11457Started with Blissard, which I didn’t like, especially not the beginning (Sinful & Drug Thing, which I absolutely LOVE today).
AADAP which I got about a 17 months later was slightly more satisfying, Heartattack Mac stands out in my memory, esp the drums.
I never learned the song-titles, just remembering the records as one whole “song”. The songs on those two albums really fit eachother, well-produced.
Trust Us was my third MP-album, remembering the Vortex Surfer was beautiful when I turned the HiFi to eleven. “Just the way we are”, together with “I’ll smoke anything that i want to smoke” was lines that still make me smile, I realized that I’d found my band.
Next up was Timothys Monster, then 8 Soothing Songs, Let Them Eat Cake, Demon Box, Lobotomizer, Phanerothyme… and so on.
Translation:
The concert at Raumarock-festival is one of the few concerts Motorpsycho will play in Norway this year.
Come to Bergen and show some ballerock to the people.
Bright light, bright light!
Otherwise it looks good!
