The Story „Ticket to Ride“ is part of a bigger thing, you can read if you like in „Romaniac´s Monster and „Radio Romaniac“ (unfortunately only in german.)
You can call these words like you want, comedy, fantasy stuff, theory conspiracy, biography … for the author personally it´s only art, or better said, it´s the art, who urges him to write these words. The writer hopes, they make sense in a whole. (like the most books, only make sense if you read them from the beginning to the end)
@JERO: Thanx for your comment: You are right. We don´t know anything. 😊 So we don´t know about the worst case scenario, too.
And sorry, the writer, don´t know, who to believe. He has friends, who are working as nurses too, they tell him complete other things. (the problem in hospitals is much bigger, than the virus thing..) But of couse, he also believes you, too. Would be interesting, what exactly you see every day and what is the truth about the virus, because you are the only one in the moment, who knows the truth already. 😊
