Thanks a lot Bernie, again and again. This tour was a highlight of 2025 for me, I’m looking forward to seeing some footage of some of the shows I attended.
Bernie for the win!
Thanks for sharing the Cardiacs stuff. Not sure I will become a huge fan but I sure did listen to an unexpected and interesting mix of punk and prog I’ve never heard before. Will definitely investigate further.
Also not sure who’s into obscure spiritual jazz over here, but Oiro Pena is releasing their first proper album in a few days :

It would be nice to have another proper tour in October. I’d gladly have another week of trips and shows, like I said last May I would only do once in my life.

June 10, 2025 at 13:45 in reply to: A critical reappraisal of Phanerothyme (not that it needs it!) #44610The new artwork is beautiful.
I remember very well the whole Phanerothyme divisive reactions back in the day, the questioning artwork, how much “Go To California” was debated, or the many references to Nick Drake in the promo interviews.
It is a good album that I go back to semi-frequently because of how easy and soft it is. Happy to hear some of those songs during this Comeback tour.
An album that is simply a nice page in MP history.
Ufomammut with Bent Sæther covering the Ramone’s “Chain Saw”
Just a thank you note to everyone who has contributed to the recording and uploading of the shows on the Internet Archive. Much easier for idiots like me who don’t understand the motortrade or dime thing.
Quite impressed by the sound quality as well. Thank you all.
Extra custom fee of 14€, which makes the grand total of 64€ to buy the 10″ record and ship it to Finland.
At least it’s a decent cover.

@elNibi
Some serious personal opinions in there, but agree on Lucifer being a total live banger. Great song and great album opener, but live, it really delivers, especially for a song that has no space out jams involved.I’m also surprised, pleasantly, about the crowd size, being bigger than expected on this tour, probably showing that the new album is quite well received.
The sequencing of this specific setlist is quite confusing for sure. Still quite the long show. More than 2h is always a win.
They usually start shortly after 8pm.
I think the Leuven and Sint Niklaas shows started close to 8:30.
Only the Hannover show started at 7pm (for which Bent said “Good afternoon” when entering the stage) -
