Your probably right, also, I was thinking it was released today, but it`s out next friday obviously. First world problem, but a bummer none the less ;)
Mine is on the way as well, from MPHQ Norway. Shipped Sunday, but still no record. Hopefully tomorrow
Regarding the video, there’s an interview with director Arild Osmundsen in Stavanger Aftenbladet. It also mentions that MP was supposed to make part of the soundtrack for one of his films “Underland”, which sadly was never made because of lead actor Vegar Hoels death, but parts of this music will be in his new movie “Alt skal bort”

Sgt. Psycho on a Friday, new single!
Psycholab is the first single from Motorpsychos 32nd studio album. Hedonism is the last resort of the desperately disillusioned, so a party song in the face of adversity -Viking style. Or maybe not… – feels appropriate and prescient in 2024.Psycholab is a pop song derived from dance performance music that was inspired by the Velvet Underground and 60’s performance art, but has a folksy vibe (fiddles!) and a catchy pop hook buried deep in the mix. Traditional Motorpsycho values in other words! Channeling krautrock and 90’s dronepop, this gem shines through dense layers of harmony while drum machine and toy drums bash away in a primitive psych groove and the drone goes ever on. Mon Dieu!
No info elsewhere so far. I really like this, a steady motorrik beat is always welcome, catchy and laidback tune and the production is lovely. Excited, like always, for what we can assume is a new album on the horizon.
That cover is hilarious “BOB”

Been spinning it 3-4 times already back to back (while doing some work and shores, so wasn’t paying to much attention).Patterns is so far the stand out track, but the overall vibe is just lovely. The three opening songs are really good, crowned with Patterns. I agree they thee could use more of the psykedelic almost shoegazy vibe of that song. So far the rest blends together a little, except for Hotel D. as its noise Big brother, but the album Feels really cohesive, which is not always the case with MP albums. To early to tell where it ranks aming the other albums, but way better than the unicorn, I can tell you this much 😀
Still waiting for mine – been weeks since the shipped Mail. Got a notice from Posten today though, so I’ll probably have it in a couple of days. Can’t wait
The above metioned Nikolai also plays with Snah in Møster! Small country.
I’ve never listned much too bigbang, but here’s a cool little record with Olaf O.

More song based set lists it seems. According to that Instagram post at least “more acoustic guitars and singing”
