Bag inspection at the airport, they took out the “Shock Me” 7″ I bought in Leuven, to do a cocaïne swab test only on the record.
Haha! I don’t blame customs tho. The first thing they thought when they saw the Kiss cosplay on the cover was probably cocaine
What’s been the average show starting time on this tour? I’m not sure I can make it at 8pm tonight, which is the “official” show start according to the venue’s website. Feels kind of early, though…
Nijmegen, Cologne and Freiburg was 8pm.
They usually start shortly after 8pm.
I think the Leuven and Sint Niklaas shows started close to 8:30.
Only the Hannover show started at 7pm (for which Bent said “Good afternoon” when entering the stage)
ah thanks for the heads up! Then I’ll have to rearrange a few things…
good afternoon, haha
Leuven started at 8.30 (doors at 8.00), til 23.15.
Sint-Niklaas only started at 9.00 (doors also at 8.00), til 23.45.
Did anyone ever hear the band commenting on their modus operandi regarding the setlist writing process? Now that the tour is coming to its final days, this question (which i occasionally always had) popped up again.
How do they choose and sequence what they’re gonna play? Playing time, obviously. But beyond that? Do they draw little bits of paper from a hat? :) Is there an idea behind it or is it just intuition? Or is it TOS after all, deciding on what guitars he has ready for the night? :)
@marc Traditionally it has been everything from 120-30 minutes before the show, with slight adjustments made even closer. Things taken into consideration apart from what they want to play are physical/mental states, equipment, the soundcheck, site specific whims, and veeeery occasionally dedications and requests (such as Bjørn at Blitz getting “The Wheel”).
@devotional Thank you for the insight!
So, do you guys think that those two dates in October (Sofia and Athens) are the prelude to another leg of the tour? Or just a couple of isolated shows?
