new album out in june, 7 tracks, vinyl only, songs recorded with steve albini last year.. can’t wait!

Man, this is great news! I’m so excited about the sound on this record. I like Steve Albini’s work and to listen to a MP album recorded in his Electrical studio just rules!

Fantastic news indeed, wow wow wow. Vinyl only, i really really like that. That’s just how it should be done. Can’t wait, i am really curious how the sound will be. Albini always delivers fantastic work, just listen to the Shellac records, or Surfer Rosa, or In Utero.

Oww and, i don’t think it will be an EP, considering the Stickman site says:

“At the beginning of June, Motorpsycho will be releasing a VINYL-ONLY album titled Child of the Future.”

Really funny title, Child of the Future. Deep Purple reference? :MPD:

13th of may, Shellac at Vera, Groningen btw. Am i looking forward to that…..good times!!

New album, great. But…

Vinyl only? What a stupid idea. Hello, its NOT the Seventies anymore. I want a CD!

(yeah, i do own a record player; no i dont use it; no i’m not fond of vinyl besides the sleeves are nice; yeah, i will still buy that album; and yeah then transfer it to my pc and burn a CD!)

@tomcat: well, sure it’s a question of taste. But why should I be forced to listen to vinyl when I don’t want to? That’s not leaving me open any choice to listen to the new record in a manner of my own preference – and that’s just mean. But perhaps Stickman, MP & Rune Grammofon will get to their senses and release the album on CD too if they realize not all MPs fans are long haired hippies who live in the past (only minor offense to those matching the criteria here).
