August 5, 2017 at 08:15 #30605The "…" after IMS was a so far unheard "reeeally heavy" new song (nasty!), U Lied->Sun played seamless: never seen such a moshpit/slam dance on a mp concert. Passionated but mostly respectful audience. VS as encore but they didn't really leave the stage. (Appr. 95 minutes, they started slightly delayed). They sound indeed "straighter" with Tomas but he has surprising breaks and fillings – and boy when he starts his thing you're left mouth open. He's a force! Welcome to motorpsycho.
August 5, 2017 at 08:19 #30606oh wow, wish i could have been there. any recordings? spacebandit???
August 5, 2017 at 10:06 #30607Some visual evidence (Plate/Vanishing/Cuckoo)
Thx to whoever shot it!
August 5, 2017 at 18:58 #30608Wow, Cuckoo sounds a lot like Black Sabbath! Especially the breakdown around 11:00, it's almost lifted from a similar section in Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
August 6, 2017 at 09:10 #30609@Boomer: a listenable document exists
August 6, 2017 at 12:18 #30610where so? not on motortrades….
August 6, 2017 at 12:26 #30611Please do respect that our crew of tapers had official permission by MP/Krach to
tape and video, but MP first want to have a listen/watch on this before it shows up
somewhere on the net. Great show, got my two faves…YZ+VS…and a goosebumping half
hour backstage talking to Snah+Bent (thank you guys!). Am I happy? Yeah, of course!
August 6, 2017 at 12:58 #30612Respect is due. And if they authorize it, then it's probably not too shabby and something to look forward to.
August 6, 2017 at 17:43 #30613It was fun to be in Beelen! Great festival and great line-up!
I think it was a good MP show but it wasn't great.
In my opinion they need some time to grow in this new constellation.
It was more heavy which I think is a good thing.
Nevertheless I think in the past I've heard better improvisation-parts with more tension, carefully starting from the bottom and building a perfect climax.
Bent did some serious overdriven bass-shredding. Sound was not so well balanced on my position: Too much bass guitar (is that possible?!?! ) and overall very loud.
Compared to Kenneth, Tomas plays a straighter style.
Kenneth is a bomb but Tomas style with less fiddling is also an excellent fit.
Looking forward to see them again in fall when they have grown.

October 25, 2017 at 18:11 #30616Does anyone know anything about the video recording they were making?
October 29, 2017 at 14:46 #30617still in work of progress…
December 25, 2017 at 13:20 #30618I have seen on the webside of Krach am Bach, that the first videos of the Motorpsycho gig can be watched on youtube ("Into the sun" and "Year zero"):
