Maybe a stupid question, maybe i just didn’t see the information:
Does the order from the international MP-shop include a digital copy? Until recently I was a satified bandcamp-customer, but this time the price is quite tough.
Thanks,
MichaelJanuary 28, 2025 at 17:45 #43769That’s a general development with the vinyl prices. Sadly, about 35-40 is standard today. I understand inflation, but the vinyl prices almost doubled within the last 10 years, that’s insane.
Just be patient and support your local record dealers! So you can at least save the shipping costs and so something goodJanuary 31, 2025 at 01:13 #43777edit: link to band’s own channel :)
January 31, 2025 at 12:43 #43780Nice video!
I remember vinyl albums being around 20 bucks in the early eighties (in Switzerland at least…), so there’s not a big inflation there. And this one is a double anyway. And probably quite good. Nothing to complain here.

January 31, 2025 at 13:18 #43783It should have been Motorpsycho giving them a ride in the car at the end there, like ZZ Top. :)
January 31, 2025 at 14:47 #43784In Germany we had a much better offer with Stickman – moderate shipping costs, and even the double albums hardly ever touched the 30 € limit. Not necessarily just a question of vinyl cost inflation.
I respect MP’s decision to take business into their own hands – but it comes with a substantial rise in album prices, probably due to distribution issues.
At least the concert prices are still very reasonable. I’ll probably rather get one more MP show and instead wait to get the album there without distribution costs, even if waiting is quite hard for a diehard MP fan…January 31, 2025 at 16:59 #43786I have two questions arising from that video. I’m sure someone will be able to answer at least the first.
Is the garage seen at 1:01 and at other points the one where Home of the Brave was played on TV? I think it is!
At 3:55, what are we looking at there? Is that the recent lining up in the sky of Saturn and Venus?
Some time, we’ll have to have a little review of the occult stuff, symbolism, hand gestures, etc. going on here and elsewhere in the body of work.
January 31, 2025 at 20:57 #43787suntripper: it isn’t. I live 250m from Esso Strindheim. :) I don’t think the video is from Trondheim.
January 31, 2025 at 21:37 #43788@Vegard: Ah, okay. I thought I might have spotted a nice full circle there as I saw similarities and wondered whether there had been changes over the years, but you will know for sure. It looks like it is a Shell garage in the video, so that wraps that up.
I think this might have been a bit niche and obsessive on my part! I need to get a life!
January 31, 2025 at 23:03 #43789Review of upcoming album from Echoes & Dust:
https://echoesanddust.com/2025/01/motorpsycho-motorpsycho/January 31, 2025 at 23:09 #43790Vegard is right, location must be somewhere else, maybe Stavanger (hometown of J. Harstad). In fact I also get a n Italian feel, can’t be true?)
The ending had a really cool vibe of Morgenstjernen, a sci fi-ish novel series written by Karl Ove Knausgård.
February 1, 2025 at 16:41 #43795@ punknotyet: Thanks a lot for the review – sounds very promising. Honestly I find the latest Krautrock-pop songs a little bit underfuelled, lacking power and drive for my taste – so I’m looking forward to those solar drive anthems and dark epics announced. Probably the double album is the ideal publication format for Motorpsycho to fill in something for everyone and expressing their variety of musical ideas.

February 1, 2025 at 16:41 #43796I think its Sandes or Sola or something. The Video. Looks like it.
And i hope Stickman starts distribution Motorpsycho records again.
Most stupid thing
Motorpsycho have done ever. That and the Voises of Wonder contact.
February 1, 2025 at 19:45 #43798My brother, living in Stavanger, confirms that it is shot there. Directed by Arild Ommundsen (of Mongoland fame).
February 5, 2025 at 11:04 #43811Regarding the video, there’s an interview with director Arild Osmundsen in Stavanger Aftenbladet. It also mentions that MP was supposed to make part of the soundtrack for one of his films “Underland”, which sadly was never made because of lead actor Vegar Hoels death, but parts of this music will be in his new movie “Alt skal bort”
