sad news.
why?
August 11, 2010 at 10:33 #16514særinger!
August 11, 2010 at 12:52 #16515there can only be one reason: they want to put it out themselves as roadworks IV!
August 11, 2010 at 12:53 #16516that, or the m-word.
August 11, 2010 at 13:20 #16517There is definitely a rights-question involved here. It costs a fortune to license stuff from NRK (which was why they didn’t do it for Hair Cuts), which means that this might be a good thing, as the band still record pretty much every show they do themselves.
August 14, 2010 at 20:52 #16518Soooo.. they play now?
I am sad..
August 14, 2010 at 21:24 #16519Wow. The princes of the castaways.
August 14, 2010 at 21:27 #16520This one has to become a Roadworks! Nearly perfect, but all the way gigantic.
August 14, 2010 at 21:38 #16521Report please!
August 14, 2010 at 21:47 #16522August 14, 2010 at 21:50 #16523August 14, 2010 at 21:55 #16524Motorpsycho hasn’t made me feel this way in ten years. Watersound was orgasmic!
Setlist:
• Feel
• On My Pillow
• Leave It Like That
• A Shrug & A Fistful
• Wearing Yr Smell
• Beautiful Sister
• Now It’s Time To Skate
• Watersound
• Trapdoor
• Kill Some Day
• Giftland
• The Wheel
• Sungravy
• Grindstone
• The Golden Core
A couple of poitns while I remember them:
– Some fumbling in the beginning. They started with Feel with both Bent and Snah on acoustic guitar. Kenneth on mellotron. Watersound through Golden Core was bliss.
– Cd2 was played in the correct order at the end. The order of the songs on cd1 was mixed up.
– For the first couple of songs their playing seemed kind of forced. Probably ’cause they had to stick to the planned sequencing of the songs. But 3-4-5 songs in, it seemed like the band as totally into it.
– The opera(?) sent up fireworks during the end of Grindstone and beginning of Golden Core. Worked well while they were playing Grindstone, kinda disturbing during the first minutes of Golden Core.
– Some exteded jamming during a couple of the cd1 songs.
– The Wheel was 24 – 25 minutes long.
– Hanne Hukkelberg sang on Golden Core.
– Geb played a lot of guitar (banjo on Trapdoor) and seemed to enjoy himself immensely. He played drums (together with Kenneth) on at least Giftland, The Wheel, Grindstone and Golden Core.
– Bent forgot the lyrics on Sungravy.
