great song! phanerothyme meets trust us pretty much nails it. I find it somewhat amusing regarding what bent said a while ago about some prog festival where bands seemed to try and out-"lamb" each other. i mean, that whole quiet section with the guitar harmonies and vocal shifting is as "lamb lies down on broadway"y as it gets
February 4, 2016 at 20:34 #28570juhu, the singles arrived :MPD:

February 8, 2016 at 14:39 #28572Nice find, Phoots Flower. I couldn't resist having a listen. Love it. It's like Teknisk Museum in higher quality. Now if only the mailman would drop me a package soon..

February 9, 2016 at 15:03 #28574Received album and single from Rune Grammofon today!
Really nice songs, but sort of feels like an EP…
The thanks section on the back ends with; "and, oh! all shall be revealed! to be continued…"
Shall all be revealed on the "Monsters 12" limited thingy?
February 9, 2016 at 17:46 #28575I only received the single today.
Go Around Once is a nice acoustic ditty. Some subtle mandolin and mellotron makes
it stand out a little. Fits better as a 7" b-side than on an album, so good call.
February 10, 2016 at 07:38 #28576First review gaffa.no
Usually Gaffa.no have musical taste like a bunch of flies, but the reviewer says he a psychonaut so he probably knows what he's talking about this time.
February 10, 2016 at 08:24 #28577This is the extended version of the GAFFA review. Too long for mass media. Not too long for a blog. It's in Norwegian. Sorry about that.
February 10, 2016 at 08:55 #28578@MyPillow – As I said, you know what you are talking about
One more – from Panorama.no
February 10, 2016 at 09:11 #28579did anybody notice the two face offs MP vs Mogwai and MP vs Einsturtzende Neubauten in panorama. Victory to our friends in both cases.

February 10, 2016 at 09:19 #28580Agree with Panorama.no: Big Black Dog almost too close The Wheel, however a really great piece indeed.
Reviewer seems to have fotgot For Folk Flest record.
Complaining MP for not challenging fans, when they have in fact released records as Unicorn & FFF, don't make sense to me.
February 10, 2016 at 11:35 #28581I've been listening to the new album for quite a while now (got a PR copy through legit channels, and if you found it leaked or uploaded somewhere, then not because of me, I didn't put it up anwhere ). I don't feel so much of a Phanerothyme vibe, as some have mentioned. If anything, then it's closer to a more jammy IALC in a few places. I still have to get into it, it's not an immediate pleaser (as if that was anything bad). Then again, the Unicorn, which surely is a challenging one, had me from note 1.
Anyways, IMS and Big Black Dog alone carry this new one. IMS rawks like mad in odd meters, reminds me a bit of Unicorn's Mutiny. Big Black Dog is a hell of a journey. Delicate arpeggi (Supper's Ready, anyone?), then taking a crazy turn into a typical (in the best sense of the word) but still fresh MP-monster. Those two will most probably be highpoints at the gigs.
February 10, 2016 at 18:14 #28582My album form Rune Grammofon arrived today. Cant wait to get home and listen to it!
February 11, 2016 at 10:16 #28583Got it! Did not expect it so soon in Nederland.
