Seems they dropped Lux Aeterna for the moment

Lux is probably unplayable as a three piece. So these 3 swiss shows were over the top out there, and I'm sure the whole tour was. So "there's two kinds of MP shows"? I do think it depends on the setlists and the intentions behind them, it can't just happen by some magic accidents. They're too good, experienced and professional for that. They took out their most massive songs this time for a mini tour, taking no prisoners.

the Dachstock shows was like unleashing a three-headed rockmonster! Tight riffing with some lengthy drony parts, the latter particularly in the second half. In the jammy parts, however, it sometimes seemed to me that they didn't always find the thread.

So, all in all, the show was totally different from the Winterthur show, which was much more playful and the jams really reminded me of the mighty good old Dead. Also, the songs, were more "songy" yesterday, with clear ends, and much less seguing from one song / fragment into another.

In my eyes, and that is what I almost liked best about yesterday, Tomas got more stage presence yesterday, or at least he got more opportunity to showcase his versatility in the three piece formation. I wouldn't have wanted to have missed out either of these two shows.

Side remark: a bit of unrest in the crowd yesterday (bottles smashed on purpose, girls molested, bottle collectors elbowing their ways through), and more minor technical issues (like mike stands repeatedly needing to be adjusted and stuff) than what I've so far seen at MP shows. Also seemed that the stage sound in the beginning might not have been optimal.

yes it was messy a few times in front of stage due to some drunks. Girls molested? Didn't notice that but it's shameful, especially considering the far left attitude the Dachstock is supposed to stand for. I've always found the Reitschule and its surrounding to be a tense, slightly uncomfortable place (got harassed by a drug dealer with a water gun to my head for some fucked up fun on my way there), but the concert room is really great.

Yeah, I agree with the mentioned points. Dachstock on a weekend can be somewhat of a nuisance. Despite some drunks and the uberidiot smashing beer bottles on the edge of the stage, a very nice show all the way. Still of the three swiss shows I would pick Lucerne and Winterthur over Bern as I preferred the jams and more unexpected twists and turns at those shows.

Well, there was this one girl who had to seek shelter from being 'danced upon' between me and my boyfriend.

Looking back, I liked the winterthur show better than the Bern one, for the same reason as pj said. Reine is a helluva chameleon, stealthily fitting in and adding that little extra to the performance…

Nevertheless, I enjoyed Tomas' performance better in Bern :) I was fully socialised in the Kenneth era, so it took me a while to adjust.

once again a sensational concert of one of my favourite psychedelic bands.

my video has already been posted

                        nice, thanks.

I've found Bern was the grittiest, dirtiest out of three swiss shows. 10 mins of strobe lights in Chien made my eyes bleed but I guess that is what light speed traveling is like. For unexplicable reasons and only by margins I also enjoyed Winterthur the most. Thankfully they refurbished the place with a bigger stage and took the view obstructing pillars out and have installed some great lighting. Made the band look really big.
