December 21, 2024 at 10:52 #43663Oooh. Stian Lundberg on drums. Curious on how it worked, but certainly a competent guy. Well worth a listen: Stian Lundberg Eplerose
December 21, 2024 at 11:22 #43664And they played All My Life I Love You as last song.
December 21, 2024 at 11:33 #43665Can you share more impressions of the show? For instance, did Snah sing “Captain” like on the record? How was “Elysum, soon” live? And how did Stian Lundberg fit? Sorry, I am just curious :)
December 21, 2024 at 15:53 #4366623 songs!

January 10, 2025 at 23:58 #43719Some thoughts and notes written the day after the show, but I forgot to post until now:
Fun show! Everyone on stage seemed to be having a great time.
First live performance of “Elysium, Soon”. I’m not a big fan of Yay/Neigh, so for me the best part of the show was from “Satan’s Favorite Son” till the end. “Captain” was sung very much like on the record yes.
Stian Lundberg was really great in my opinion, and he looked like he was having the time of his life! I haven’t really heard him before, but he really delivered! Very dynamic drummer, didn’t hold back or seem shy at all.
Lots of nice interplay between Snah and Reine. Hogwash was great. Fun/nice jamming in Go to California (introduced by Bent as “we don’t endorse these lyrics anymore, don’t do it, everything is burning and going to shit” or something like that).
Manmower was also very good, with a kind of dark/chaotic jam, if that makes sense.
Plan #1 was another highlight.
Snah and Reine hugged after the first encore break :)
Bent used some kind of voice modulator/effect thing at times, not sure what it’s called. Kind of warbly psychedelic sounding. Worked for some songs, but also sounded quite cartoonish at times…
Core Memory Corrupt – I could barely hear the wonderful guitar riffs, but the song still makes me very very happy :D
The accoustic encores was a lot of fun as well. There are already some videos in instagram.
At some point Bent talked about how 2024 had been a “year of singles” (as we know), and they now was about to get all of that “out of their system”. And soon they’ll get back to being “vrang”, a word which is kinda hard to translate but describes Motorpsycho very well, it’s like stubborn/non-compliant/difficult/not normal/inside-out… linguistically it’s probably related to english “wrong”.
January 11, 2025 at 15:09 #43722Thank you for that account, Rolf. The bit about getting back to being “vrang” is the best news!
