March 23, 2025 at 01:39 #44072Wow, that’s an awesome setlist! Thank you.
March 23, 2025 at 10:26 #44073Thank you Francesco for all your information and efforts.
It is amazing to play a show which is one hour longer than the previous one. The mix between new songs and older songs is good though real old songs from the 90’s are missing except for Kill Some Day and Mountain. I am not sure if songs from Blissard, Angels And Daemons At Play and Trust Us and more from Timothy’s Monster would fit in the setlist.
March 23, 2025 at 11:44 #44074How long were “Balthazaar”, “Lucifer”, “Dream Home”, “GtC” and “Mountain” approxmimately? Any significant jams, new territory charted?
March 23, 2025 at 12:01 #44075Now that is a way better setlist. Wouldn’t mind a huge chunk of this in Oslo
March 23, 2025 at 13:22 #44076Older men with a younger geb, it works!
March 23, 2025 at 13:25 #44077Nice :)
March 23, 2025 at 19:32 #44078There are some really nice snippets of the gig on Instagram. Nice that they are plying Sentinels again, love how they interpret the song live.
I I look at the videos Verkstedhallen looks quite big, a lot bigger than Vera for instance. What capacity does it have?
March 24, 2025 at 14:13 #44081I think Verkstedhallen can hold up to 600 people.

March 24, 2025 at 23:29 #44084Rambling thoughts:
Not sure how long each song was, but pretty cool jams in “Sentinels”, “Go to California” and “Mountain”. Maybe other songs as well. Nothing I think I’d classify as “new territory”, but good stuff still!
Psychotzar was a massive beast as always.
“Lucifer” wasn’t very jammed out, but the middle solo part was a lot of fun with Snah and Reine both playing the solo in perfect sync :D Looked like Reine used a 12-string electric guitar on that one, and some other songs.
Maybe the best live “Gullible’s Travails” I’ve experienced (!) — a bit chaotic at the very end, but otherwise I think they nailed it. The sound at Verkstedhallen was also very very good.
Overall a really solid and enjoyable show! I personally don’t think Olaf is the greatest fit as the drummer for MP, I’d prefer someone more fluid / dynamic. His playing often sounds very “hard” and “stiff”… Not always though, he played kinda “jazzy” on “Sentinels”, for example. So it’ll be interesting to see how he develops during the long tour! In any case, he gets the job done ;) Hopefully Ingvald returns when his tendonitis is healed.
btw: There was a “listening party” for the new album at Bar Moskus here in Trondheim a few days before it was released, and there I overheard Olaf talking about having to learn a lot of songs before the tour. So it’ll be interesting to see what else they’ve got up their sleeves to spice up the setlists…
March 25, 2025 at 21:36 #44095Thanks for the notes, Rolf. Sounds great. I can picture that night at Verkstedhallen so well ;-)
