first time no Balthazaar….i’d trade Dream Hone or Tower for itApril 30, 2025 at 00:34 #44314another great night with Motorpsycho to reshuffle my molecules. First time I went alone, without a friend, my wife, or my brother, but with the MP fanbase, there’s always a community, and so, pretty soon, waiting at the front of the stage, I got involved in a very nice conversation with some fellow Psychonauts. Thank you guys for the shared enthusiasm, all you grey beards and especially Klaus. As for the music tonight; wwwwwoooooooowwwwwwww, as always lifting us all up to unknown spheres. Respect for Bent Snah and Reine for keeping it up, crotches and all ! And as for Olav: my doubts about him being a fitting drummer for MP are gone, He’s playing very precise and powerfull, and gives the songs another dimension. Onward to Nijmegen tomorrow, I’ll try to wear my Baltasar T-shirt, but kid-size was the only left, so I’ll hang it on the wall of my man-cave and wear the longlived Krisha shirt Like I’ve done at every MP gig so far
love to all psyhonauts

first time no Balthazaar….i’d trade Dream Hone or Tower for itThe Tower was amazing as always yesterday, so that one can stay! Still no click with Neotzar after seeing it live, so that one can be swapped for Balthazaar ; ) Fun show, with a lot of highlights and a nice little surprise in the form of My Best Friend. Olaf was great on most songs I’d say (still weird to see an old guy on drums).
April 30, 2025 at 17:18 #44318Although I have seen Motorpsycho play more than once a year this was the first time I saw them play two days in a row. And how lucky I am, in Amsterdam they played 12 (!) songs they didn’t play in Groningen.
While both gigs where incredible I think I prefer the Amsterdam gig. The venue, the atmosphere, talking to some new and some longtime fans, really really nice.
The one song that literally made me cry last night was My Best Friend. Such an amazing surprise! Beautifully done with an awesome jam in the middle.
I was also very pleased with Kill Some Day, Quick Fix (which they skipped in Groningen) and Neotzar.
Olaf was amazing both nights. Fun to watch. Very different from earlier drummers but very fitting imo.
