      So I'm starting a new thread – about albums that were almost named after Motorpsycho songs, before the songs were written.

      In 1989 The The released the album Mind Bomb. The working title of the album was Psychonaut.

        Well, I don't have an almost-named-after-a-Motorpsycho-song-before-the-song-was-recorded album title (an exceptionally short list, I would imagine ;) ), but Joni Mitchell did actually recorded a song titled For Free in 1970, 31 years before Motorpsycho did their For Free.

          That is exactly the problem with this topic: Motorpsycho tend to cite, adopt or hint at tunes, song or album titles by several of their heroes. So it should be easy to find titles that could be seen as MP predecessors – while it is actually just the other way round.
