Mestermøte blir plate (Norwegian)
June 8, 2011 at 11:00 #19788Very Interesting. Thank you! I just hope that motorpsychodelic rock will be the prevailing influence on this album, as opposed to big band Jazz. Or maybe it will be something entirely new? That would be cool as well. I am just slightly anxious this will turn out to be another "Fishtank" or "Motorsource massacre", i.e. another MP-obscurity instead of a MP-classic.
June 8, 2011 at 15:01 #19789sounds really interesting. prog over 90 minutes? rock parts already recorded? great, sounds promising…
June 8, 2011 at 15:45 #19790This bit also sounds promising:
Quote:"Initially it had been exciting to have made some concerts with the launch this project. But it involves lots of people and calendars must "Synch" and is demanding in every way. We'll see what happens, "said Storløkken."Maybe something "will happen" in Eindhoven 15.10.?
June 8, 2011 at 21:46 #19791sounds very exiting
June 9, 2011 at 07:28 #19792Would be great to see this performed live – Eindhoven as a "unique event" very welcome
June 9, 2011 at 12:04 #19793Yeah, since every one of the involved parties are living around Trondheim I assume Eindhoven would be the obvious location for that special event
Btw – has anyone heard or seen a recording of that oridginal concert in Molde?
June 9, 2011 at 12:06 #19794it'll probably be their classic album of the obscure ones.
fine with me
June 10, 2011 at 04:04 #19795Woww..Nice this sounds like they are in mahavishnu mood…

June 10, 2011 at 08:00 #19796Indeed very exciting and promising. I would assume that there will be a norwegian only tour in fall 2011. Whoever witnessed last years Molde apearence of this set up cannot be serious of wishing an Effenaar show. I would suggest a tour at opera houses with excellent sound, light and a sitting audiance. We will see, but folks please don`t touch the holy 40 years aniversary concert at the Effenaar. That shall be a true 3,5 hours Motorpsycho steamroller. In rock we trust! Kumar
June 10, 2011 at 08:32 #19797A PSYCHOanniversary show at FNR + some bohemian motorjazz opera nearby would be brilliant – though it seems logical to happen in Norway, only…
June 11, 2011 at 23:00 #19798Interesting article! Will be exciting to see what happens with Leslie's Vest and Neanderthal…
Cool that KÃ¥re Vestrheim is producing again. I like what he did with HMF
June 19, 2011 at 00:07 #19799Gotta say, much as I love the last 4 releases(holy crap, has it been 4. Remember when we were just waiting and waiting?)I'm ready for something off the wall. I love Fishtank and in the right frame of mind dig Motorsource Massacre. 'Course, I dig John Zorn, Wayne Horvitz, Sadhappy and some of the heavier MMW stuff. MP getting wierd. Bring it on!!!
June 19, 2011 at 00:12 #19800BTW, I can't read the article. Are they doing "Leslies Vest" on the new record. A tip of the hat to the band Mountain (and Leslie West) seems a strange place for a jazz launch pad. What else is on it from the boys.
June 19, 2011 at 09:14 #19801The song Neanderthal that they played this year will be on it, as quoted by Bent several times while introducing it live. But Leslie's Vest? I'm not sure.
