Still waiting for mine – been weeks since the shipped Mail. Got a notice from Posten today though, so I’ll probably have it in a couple of days. Can’t wait :stg:

Yeah, this one needed a few spins. Because honestly, after the first listen I thought it was pretty boring (except 2-3 songs)
The arrangements are a bit monotonous, only 3 songs have like full band backing.

But repeated listens have brought out the melodies and hooks (it is Bent’s songwriting after all :mp: )

Kudos to Josefin Runsten on violin & viola; her strings on Hotel Daedalus and The Rapture really enhance those songs. I’m honestly curious how the stuff sounded before Fiske/Swahn beefed it up.
                    A very summer-y record, without a doubt.

Favorite songs: Sentinels, W.C.A, Hotel Daedalus and The Rapture. I think Sentinels and Hotel Daedalus have the biggest potential for being stretched out live.

Worst song: Dank State (that chorus is so laughably half-assed  )

                    Rockefeller in September :stg:

Three beautiful vinyls arrived yesterday in Oslo, Norway! I just haven’t had time to actually sit (or even lie) down, put the headphones on and have a proper, focused listen yet.

Delivery: Yay! Music – we’ll see… Or listen respectively, as long as it takes to digest this strange item of an album.
Obviously there are one or two pearls on it, especially the “Patterns” single (but we knew that beforehand, didn’t we) and at least one track I wouldn’t consider fit for publication on a regular MP album, though I can’t name it right now.

“Hotel Daedalus” sounds like a remarkably acceptable “Kingdom of Oblivion” outtake. For my taste there could have been much more of that alledged Swedish Psychedelia dressing on this acoustic salad. Somebody called it “best MP album since DDU” – strange… The best thing for me right now is probably the back cover with its Lumpy Gravy allusion – probably hinting at this albums position in the MP catalogue?

But hey, it is much to early to judge and I’m probably just starting the usual process of burying exxagerated expectations before starting to enjoy the new thing. Keep on listening…

Been spinning it 3-4 times already back to back (while doing some work and shores, so wasn’t paying to much attention).Patterns is so far the stand out track, but the overall vibe is just lovely. The three opening songs are really good, crowned with Patterns. I agree they thee could use more of the psykedelic almost shoegazy vibe of that song. So far the rest blends together a little, except for Hotel D. as its noise Big brother, but the album Feels really cohesive, which is not always the case with MP albums. To early to tell where it ranks aming the other albums, but way better than the unicorn, I can tell you this much 😀

What beautiful music. I have known and loved the music of MOTORPSYCHO for over 30 years. Okay, I rather like the expansive epics, but YAY! has been playing for hours.
It’s the ideal music to accompany me at work or during quiet hours in the evening.
Thanks again to MOTORPSYCHO for the music, simply great. I’m already looking forward to the concert in October 2023 in Aschaffenburg.
As always, you have my respect!
