just bought a ticket. really excited!
I cant really find any info about this on the interwebs.
is this going to be the same as in trondheim with Pekka doing the lights and Ståle Storløkken playing the organ?
November 6, 2011 at 18:56 #20658Ticket to ride! This is fantastic, I was bummed out that I didn't get to see the Nidaros show, thank you Motorpsycho!
November 7, 2011 at 08:06 #20660The piece in Adressa only mentioned Ståle Storløkken, but then Pekka Stokke wasn't mentioned before the Nidaros concert either.
November 7, 2011 at 09:23 #20661Tickets ordered for what will be my first MP show ever, can't wait!
November 7, 2011 at 12:30 #20662Indeed, I was very envious on the Trønders. Now a ticket is secured for the Oslo Domkirke event! This will be legendary :MPD:
November 8, 2011 at 11:07 #20663It's part of the Morgenbladet topp 100 live series.
November 8, 2011 at 11:47 #20664The press release in its entirety:
I love how they call the Nidarosdomen concert a "generalprøve". It will also be partially re-arranged for Oslo.
Only 600 tickets available, one of them belongs to me
November 14, 2011 at 01:04 #20665ticket ordered.

November 28, 2011 at 21:53 #20668Soundcheck snippet/interview here
Just got back from the gig. More or less the same as in Nidarosdomen; the only real differences were in the improvs. Opening improv was less melodic than the one in Trondheim. Kenneth's drumsolo was good, but still just a drumsolo. Ståle's improv was bordering Supersilent at times. But some of the sounds he pumped out of that organ, will never be played there again  It became more melodic near the end, though.
The songs, however, were imho played a bit tighter than in Trondheim (judging from the Nidaros-bootleg). Same musical themes explored. Highlight of the gig was the second musical theme. I could listen to that B minor Snah guitar theme all day long!
Great gig!
November 28, 2011 at 22:14 #20669No 30/30?
November 28, 2011 at 22:15 #20670Yeah, they played 30/30 near the end. Forgot to mention.
November 28, 2011 at 22:59 #20671oh yes, a great gig. Even more than that – very impressive.
The impros were different and the songs were very close to trondheim.
bent sung just beutifil and the show was great!
i agree, the whole set sounded a bit tighter than th.
the concept was the same, if i got it right:
impro – unknown song – drums – impro – unknown song – interlude – 30/30 – outro
every second worth my little crazy journey from bielefeld to oslo just for this concert
Quote:I could listen to that B minor Snah guitar theme all day long!second this.
AND:I saw a big NRK Truck besides the church, will it be broadcast?
Anybody who knows something?
