6 out of the 10 times they have played the Chien last year it started the show – so yes, why wouldn't it also be on the first LP.
For me the Trøndelag teater version from Oct 13 was the definitive one. They went into it and never came out again, until the show was over. And they barely touched upon the song itself, it was an one hour marvelous trip out into the void.
Apart from that, there are so many brilliant songs on the last album – they could easily fill the last 4 sides with this only.

Yes, I figured some of my wishlist would likely not turn up because of previous releases, but either way I'm pretty sure we'll get Lacuna/Sunrise and at least two form The Tower. In Every Dream Home was fantastic live РI find the album track a little lightweight, but live, it's much more funky, has a lot more swing Рand I really enjoyed it in K̦ln, where it made a much bigger impression on me than in London. The biggest problem I see is the constriants omposed by vinyl. For example, Taifun in K̦ln was about 17 minutes, so what else can you pair it with except a short track like Feel. Maybe a shorter Taifun could be paired with Greener, Bartok, Cuckoo or ASFE.
Taifun in Köln was actually only about 14 minutes right with 3/4 minutes of crowd noise at the end if I'm correct? Sorta the same length as it was in Zwolle at least. Think The Tower itselfs would be a great song for RWV with that middle section in complete overdrive.
Rewatched RW III last night, my rough timing estimates suggests that the vinyl edition will come out something like this:

Yeah too soon since the records come out in june.
That RW3 vinyl tracklist from paolinogrande001 leaves room for a bonus track. Would be nice if they add Bedroom Eyes.
For RW5 there are several shorter tracks to choose from, Hey Jane & High Time for instance.
I am sure that they will surprise me, just like they did with RW4.
Maybe RW III on audio doesn't necessarily mirror the Haircuts edition, because that show was heavily shortened for the DVD release. They probably recorded the whole show so maybe there's even a majority of tracks coming out not available as of yet. Close Your Eyes comes to mind.
I would love it if they put more material on the RWIII vinyl, obviously. The thing that struck me, though, is how neatly those tracks can be split into four pieces of roughly 20 minutes of music – which I believe is approaching the maximum time to get optimal sound out of one side of vinyl.
And since our friends time and again have stated that they plan their music for vinyl releases, it makes me think they were always considering issuing it on double vinyl at some point.
But that's just me making an ass out of u and me

I don't find the different versions of Neverland different enough to justify such an in-depth treatment, but I could see it done with for instance Go To California, if we're going to stay in the area, as it has gone through a lot of changes and different version through the years, everything from 3 minute versions to over 13. With keys, without keys, with jazz jams, space-outs, rock-outs… as Snah said one night during the Eastern Europe tour: Let's fuck it up!
A Box full of Californias? I'd buy that.
Equally interesting from that area is My Best Friend, this rather low-key, somewhat anonymous 4 minute song on the album, growing in to a jamming masterpiece of many different forms on stage, the longest we have on recording being 25 minutes. Not that length in itself tells if it is good or bad, but it tells you about development. A development that I see as a key factor in the attraction Motorpsycho has on me.
So, if we were to make RWs with only one song on them, I'd have a look at the jamming vehicles:

@TheOtherAnders – A somewhat similar appraoch was adopted by King Crimson on two albums dedicated to 21st Century Schizoid Man. The album Schizoid Man has 5 versions of the song: the original studio version, an edit of the studio version and three live versions, each varying in length. Another album, Ladies of the Road, Disc 2 has one 53 minute version of 21CSM that was cleverly created by stitching together the guitar solos from at least ten different live cuts.
Hey, Punj, I know that KC stuff you refer to well, and those albummers got me in the wrong mood every play. Shizoid man by the original band was a great sonic adventure, I just get a headache when the Frippmaster overrates it's importance by turning it into a Frankensteins Stitchwork!
Had the same experience with the Thrak mini-album back in the day. A sensational livegig surprise turned into a blinding headache of noodling hell. I certainly hope MP will never fall for this kind of studio-stitching, that they will for ever keep it fresh and exciting as they have always done so far, and the joy of every roadwork-album for me is exactly that! Whichever songs we'll get, we are guaranteed to sail an adventurous journey. A lot alike the incarnation of KC of the larks-starless-red period, their improv and adventurous skills within the same few songs and idiom is well documented on the later released live recordings 'The Night Watch'and 'The Great Deceiver', give me those stichless monsters anytime!
