Inspired by the Kebnekajse citation I've collected a few youtube links.
As I love these weird folk freaks from the past (and present) I hope there's more advice soon from all you Motorpsycho-Folkprogheads…
Witthüser & Westrupp should be a household name after being lauded in Julian Cope's Krautrocksamler – but for those who don't know them:
The glorious "Trips und Träume" album (1970):
The "Dracula" Video (1970) that always kills me:
A very rare gem: "Emma Myldenberger" from Germany ("Tour de Trance" 1979):
I Know You Rider – St. Stephen (Bonus Track)
And something a bit more recent: The Merlons Of Nehemiah (Germany, late 90s):
Enough for today – I'm curious what you will add…May 18, 2019 at 14:29 #35515supernautParticipant
A Bent fave if I'm not mistaken:

thanks @Johnny_Heartfield for these links of weirdness, it almost got me to get out my Amon duul and Henry Cow records, but although these freakfolkies had undeniable creativity, their music nowadays also gives me a bit of a nauseous feeling, I think there's something errr…hysterical about it. Still, that dracula song rules! Got to think of it, I still have the recorder-flute of my prime-school days somewhere, next time me and my bro have a session I should bring it along, so you brought something inspiring to these threads! I used to worship the early work of The Residents for years until I suddenly had had enough, they used to be weird-folky on their early stuff sometimes (but; talking about 'hysterical', it's their middle name!)… 8O :lol:May 19, 2019 at 06:45 #35518punknotyetParticipant

I'm not sure, if these guys are weird enough, but their 2nd album is superb psychedelic folk, imho.
