I'm very curious about you MP favourites.

      What your favourite:

      Song of all time?

      Solo?

      Riff?

Song to let someone to get to know Motorpsycho?

My favourite song is Landslide, solo from Before the Flood, best riff is from Hogwash and the song that other non-MP fans need to hear is Go To California.

Don't know if Bent is also on this forum, but I'm curious what their favourites are.

My favourite song is Taifun, solo from Into The Gyre, best riff is from Gullible's Travails (The instrumental part) and the song that other non-MP fans need to hear is Big Surprise :D

Favorite song: The Golden Core. None above, none on the side.

Favorite solo: This one is hard. Greener, Flick Of The Wrist, 577. Today I choose 577. All those solos have the right balance of finesse and emotion.

Best riff: Also a bit hard, but I'm gonna go with Through The Veil's main riff and its variations.

Song for non-MP fans: Would have to be one of the more instantly catchy tracks, I guess. Maybe The Promise?

          solo: IN THE FAMILY….goosebumps forever!

riff: THE WHEEL….first riff I tried to play when I decided to pick up a bass.

song: S.T.G. ….impossible to answer, but this one probably blew me away first

Best song: THE GOLDEN CORE. Utterly mesmerizing. Just thinking the climax out in my head brings goosebumps. No one else has made anything quite like it. Pure Motorpsycho-music.

Best solo: THE OTHER OTHER FOOL (Roadwork version). Tough call, Greener and In the Family were certainly contenders, but I love how this is constructed…really, really good solo, especially considering it's a live version.

Best riff: S.T.G. What can I say? Runners-up are numerous, like Feedtime and Superstooge, but S.T.G. is epic.

Song to let someone get familiar with Motorpsycho: Sooo many contenders, so I'll nominate a recent one that sounds fresh and new and still classic Motorpsycho: THE MAGIC AND THE WONDER

@fuzzrules, totally agree! But that solo is also outstanding.

                  Song of all time:

                  I pick my mother! :)

                  Solo:

I've been utterly weak for the solo in Wishing well from Roadwork 4. There's just something to that shift from being nice to naughty that always floors me.

Riff: Jeez…ok…Mad sun! (Both el. and acc.) – No words except love.

Bla bla newbie: Just trust me and listen to everything!

                  :)

                    Solo? Flick Of The Wrist

Song to let someone to get to know Motorpsycho? Leave It Like That

                      Song: The Golden Core

Because I can't always listen to that one. And when, then superloud with no distraction and no songs by anyone afterwards for quite a while.

                      Solo:

I like guitar solos like those in The Promise and The Ozzylot. Not too long and well crafted blasting outbursts of raw joy. On the other hand, that long one in Nothing To Say live '97 is majestic. Amazing build up.

                      Riff:

Feedtime and the middle section of Through The Veil.

Song to let someone to get to know Motorpsycho:

STG, Plan #1, Taifun, The Wheel, Kill Devil Hills/The Alchemyst combo from RWIV

                      #29864

Song: Giftland or Taifun (damn, possibly Stained Glass Roadworks 3 version. Seeing that video is what sent me to Europe for the LLM tour.)

                      Solo: 577

                      Riff: Hogwash (Rockefeller '96)

First MP: Walking on the Water (I was surprised no one else listed this. Here in Seattle Washington MP is almost completely unheard of. Everyone I've turned on to MP connected with this right away.)

@Seattle Psychonaut, nice to see some American Psychonauts :-)

Where can I find Roadworks Vol. 3?

Man, those are some tough questions…

                          Song: Golden core

                          Riff: Feedtime

Solo: I dunno… so many… Depends on the mood, I guess. At the moment, it would be Roadwork IV's version of Wishing well.

Songs to hook people on: It's gotta be more than one, really! I'd go for Walking on the water (as a glimpse of the short, rocking hits), then one of STG/TheWeel/Giftland (to demonstrate the other end of that wide, wide range), concluded by sth. new, maybe Hell 1-3.
