    sounds good to me!

i suppose anything that raises the contrast should do.

I'm away from home in New York for a few days (but still cannot escape you lot!), so this is from memory:

The full show was streamed via Paradiso's fabchannel site (now defunct). This was then ripped and circulated as a dvd. Both sound and picture are rough as I recall. It's interesting as it's the full show, and the images are edited differently from the Haircuts release.

I've not seen an audio only rip from this version, but I suppose it can be made without too much difficulty.

Other Anders' recording also contains the full show, but I don't know at this time how it compares to the other recordings.

I'll provide an update after I get back home.

I'd say the average count in continental Europe is about 1000 per show.

But numbers in Holland are decreasing, at least in Amsterdam. A few years ago, they easily should out Paradiso at 1200, but since 2008 they did not come near.

Next month they will play at the smaller of Melkweg's 2 halls, which holds only 700.

Having lived in London for over 6 years, I think the general public isn't aware of mp, and not interested to find out either.

Big marketing is all focussed on the next english indie band with one catchy hook. And that seems to be enough for the masses.

Any band that isn't from the UK or the US faces a big uphill batlle to make it big because of this.

just finishing my first full play-back of the album. i have a vinyl copy.

and, as a first for me, i find it very hard to enjoy this new mp. i struggle to listen to the whole album in one go. and it's not even 50 minutes long!

the problem for me lies in the production. it doesn't sound right.

i never experienced anything like this with any album before. it doesn't plainly suck like a low fidelity recording, but it certainly isn't right. it's like some of the frequencies are not seperated properly, creating a mess of competing sounds. sure way to get a headache fast!

there are audience recordings out there that offer more enjoyable sound than this.

sorry for the harsh words – just sharing my opinion.

I've always imagined The Other Fool to be the 1st part and The Other Other Fool to be the 2nd part.

    LOVE that tour poster!

"Red" is a desert island disc for me.

There is also a Genesis song called Afterglow. It makes strong use of the Moog Taurus. Study version is included in the album 'Wind and Wuthering', live versions can be found on 'Seconds Out' and 'Three Sides Live'.

And urban dictionary has this definition of Afterglow:[/i] A sense of fulfillment, completeness, and general wellbeing that one feels after the effects of a psychoactive drug have faded, which can last from anywhere between one hour, and several days.

I agree with BronYAur almost word-for-word.

I was lucky enough to see TDDU performed at the Opera in Oslo, I think TDDU must been seen with all the musicians involved. To me that's the only way it makes sense.

The backing tapes, high volume, and feedback I experienced in Utrecht just made it a mess. Although the encores were nothing short of fantastic.

I think they will step a way a bit from the endless jams and proggy sufft and the new tour will be much more short(ish)rock songs, and hopefully a healthy dose of Blissard

@BronYAUr: great username. Just pulled out my vinyl of LZIII this morning. If only the new album sounded even a bit like that one we'd be in for a real treat!

in reply to: Trust Us (180 Gr./White Colored Vinyl) #23221

Actually, those who claim to hear a difference between coloured and black vinyl tend to prefer the black. Something to do with the graphite used to dye the vinyl, which is colourless by nature.

Also, scratches are more easily visible on black vinyl.

    in reply to: Blissard – 4CD #22763

I've got 3 versions of the Blissard CD:

-Stickman Psychobabble 003; German pressing: has the bonus track before S/W-B.

-Shock Records GB008,Australian pressing: does not have the bonus track, but it does have the 8.35 of silence before S/W-B.

-Offworld OW002CD, Italian pressing: does not have the bonus track, or silence before S/W-B

i'm pretty sure dime accepts mp3's if it's proven they're they only available source for a show. shame they gave you so much trouble!

in reply to: 12.04.12 The Garage, London #22145

There are many, many videos on youtube including some in very high qualiity so i m sure the band is fine with it.

Would love to see your vids!

Chatters, however annoying, don't break any laws so there's not much security can do.

Very sorry to hear about these problems!
