I really do sympathize with the judge right after the first minute:

Damn right! Some folks just don't get that they confuse opinions with facts and freedom with egoism.

I'm getting my 2nd shot tomorrow. So bring on the tour! :MPD:

sorry for using this topic, it's the only TAIO related I find.

maybe this has been posted before, I certainly never saw this. NOX in an "embryonic" version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKA_088VAdY

Agree wirh Aki above and also nice insights with that podcast. Thanks. I also agree with the points cloudhawker makes about the „breather“ songs. Somewhat similar to that nonsensical „All killer no filler“ idea I mentioned. As a mindgame it‘s surely fun to skip or swap songs around, but this band’s peculiar mindset made Sungravy, NOX, Tussler, Grindstone, Go to California, TDDU and Begynnelser, so all things Motorpsycho soar beyond any traditional approach. But in here that’s stating the obvious, obviously :) Me I really refrain from petty criticism and unfulfilled (if any) expectations. If there‘s a song or an album that doesn’t do much for me, I still take it in as one piece of the puzzle and it sits quietly in the shelf with its brothers where it belongs. How dare I call anything they worked weeks or months on aimless or uninspired!? 8O It may be uninspiring to me/my tastes, meaning not much of a spark lits on my side but I can’t call it being uninspired on the artists’ part just because of that.

huh? Wasn't there a thread about the 16th just moments ago? Or did my internet break?

edit: it's back or I'm just going slightly nuts.

Haha while listening to it a few times more with focus on the issue we discussed, I did notice more of what you were talking about. Not really in the guitars, though, but in the overall sound. But I still think that was the purpose in making a hard rocking album. Tame the flourishing soundabouts and make it tight.

Lurker? Sound or song? First half I find amazing, riffs to die for. The "noodling" in the 2nd half is challenging to my nerves, but hey, over the top is the way to go. Or as someone said: "anything worth doing is worth overdoing".
