Aren’t their „warm up“ (if they can be called like this) shows usually a bit on the shorter side?
Agree with Punj about the epic/NOX thing. Yeah it’s great. Heavy and playful, sprawling, focused, easily accessible and totally bonkers. The references and influences are all over the place. They even reference themselves. Which is cool. Lightbringer/Überwagner anyone?
while waiting for my copies to arrive, I’ll treat me some Balthazar tv show on yt. A promising start with the description “Balthazar travels to the Alps where he meets a man who spends his hole life yodelling although he is disturbed by avalanches.”
ah ok. Oh well… patience patience… order is still only confirmed as “confirmed” but not as “shipped”.

My order is marked as “confirmed”. But I’m not sure what to make of this. “Neigh” which I got when it came out is still marked as “on its way”
since we draw comparisons, the intro synth to Balthazar reminds me of another recent MP tune but which one… not the first bars but at the 30sec mark.
Still haven’t got my hardcopies. It’s really hard not to listen to yt or bandcamp. I‘ll do that eventually of course but first spin must be a ritual with the record in hand. Oh well, I caved for Lucifer and Balthazar and they are astonishing.
Just consider this: all the money we pay for MP releases goes into MP pockets to pay the bills, feed the family and buy new toys to keep them going.
