I‘ve been a big fan of the Young Gods since forever. Even longer than MP since they’ve started out mid 80s. They are one of the best and most interesting bands of all imho. But I don’t have any personal/private connection to them. Except for Al Comet jamming with a band I used to be in before said jam.
It surely could be interesting, a collab between TYG and MP. I feel a similar mindset among them towards the art side of certain things. Breaking conventions and boundaries in what it means to be a rockband, dabbling in soundtracks, experimentalism and classical music and whatnot. I know MP are aware of them. About the other way round I don’t know.Uhmmm I thought this might would have stirred a bit more of an interest. Or it simply flew under the radar with all the MP touring news. So I shamelessly would like to point it out again if you please indulge me doing so.

That “genesis – supper’s ready” guy is Antoine Baril who used to be in The Musical Box, a great tribute band that plays early Genesis. Seen them twice. Highly recommended!

Agree with Punj about the epic/NOX thing. Yeah it’s great. Heavy and playful, sprawling, focused, easily accessible and totally bonkers. The references and influences are all over the place. They even reference themselves. Which is cool. Lightbringer/Überwagner anyone?
