Wow that is a really short gig for Motorpsycho standards!
Really intent on playing that new material, naturally
Interesting setlist, nearly only new material. Cant wait to hear these Songs live. And lets see how they improve from there …
Really excited to hear the new material live. And I also hope for ASFE. Love that one and never got it live.
Aren’t their „warm up“ (if they can be called like this) shows usually a bit on the shorter side?
A bit boring setlist, tbh. But makes sense when they only play 1h 45 min.
I’m guessing Verkstedhallen tomorrow will be longer and more exciting
Who was behind the drums in Bodø?
Olaf Olsen on drums. Has previously drummed with MP during the Norwegian tour 2023. Previously drummer in Big Bang, his main gig is Needlepoint.
According to their Instagram account, the “ppl at Sinus, Bodø wanted 90 minutes – we snuck in an extra 20 minutes” (Gullible as potential encore not played).
It will be exciting to have all this new material performed live, let’s see which older tunes will find their way into the setlists during the upcoming journey with Olaf
A brief addendum to the concert in Bodø:
Those of us at the concert witnessed the world premiere with Reine as the lead vocalist on Balthazar.
Balthazar was announced as a song about “a children’s TV hero, or was it Ole Paus?”
The guitar solo on the song Lucifer was played by both Snah and Reine, both playing exactly the same. Also noted by Rolf for the Verkstedhallen gig.
Bent played his double neck all evening, as other instruments did not arrive during the flight. He used a capo on several songs. Don’t know how many instruments the others guys couldn’t bring from the flight.
New merch was said to be just around the corner, hoping to have it ready for the concert in Trondheim.
