I was on holiday and totally missed this! The show obviously but also that it even happened in the first place!
Damn!
3+ hours!
NOX!
Chariot!
The Unicorn!!!
Tos!
Bernie!Wow wow wow!
that Dang!!! album is pretty awesome. I suspect it’s Bent on Taste of Cruel…
– hey old man. might wanna just zoom in on yr browser?
– oh… ok!
ooops so I’m away for a couple of weeks and everything’s changed. :)
looks snappy, but the typo is a bit small for my ol’ eyes. Can I change this somehow?
That section 7:23 – 8:02 in part 1, The Ladder, that was exactly my reaction. And still is after the umpteenth listen.
@johnny
maybe  I like its self assured structure. Tight, playful, great energy, brilliant Snah soloing. I love it when MP do just that now and then. But hey I'm a huge admirer of NOX and TDDU as well. ML-A and Chariot do overshadow The Ladder a bit, being the big chunk of the album. The Ladder even feels somewhat out of place, maybe? Hence placing it as opener and using Flower as transition. But it's a great romp nonetheless.
The more I listen to it, the more The Ladder becomes my stand out track of the whole shebang.
I think I can count a fast 6/8 pretty much through the whole middle part…
Hi and thanks for pointing this out. I should listen to Begynnelser more. 8O

Ha, that last part, yes that'll be something good!
For me The Chariot is the highpoint of the album. Aren't there any Ny (halv)lang elements in there? I don't have those two present atm.
Side A I like a lot first, then was a bit underwhelmed at the second spin, god knows why. But today I took it out on a car ride and yep, everything's good again.
I don't like metal  especially the attitude around it. Only Voivod I'm kind of into but only their psychedelic progressive phase from Nothingface to The Outer Limits. Angel Rat is even kind of pop metal. Phobos I also like, though, which is really metal. Don't know why, probably due to its dark lost-in-space atmosphere. And the self titled 2003 album, which is more Rrrrock than metal.
That's why I meant a Motorpsycho metal record would be very interesting. Probably more NWOBM than Pantera, Metallica and the lot.
True. I'm not so much into the HBM proper album but the track itself is just grand.
And what about Tomas on this new one? Woe to those who let him loose! Easily my fave album since he's joined, along with the NOX suite.
yup, I like it. Nice mix 'tween Crucible and Begynnelser/Folk Flest wanderings. Love the cover art, especially the inner gatefold. They managed to pull off the overused "band stumbling through the woods" thing nicely. It's great because tasty moody and fits the music.
from the interviews: I kinda would like to hear that heavy metal album. finally a metal album for me?
