Quote:Suppose that's a play on Iron Maiden's 'Where Eagles Dare'?
Seems pretty likely, since the opening drum break is also lifted verbatim from that song.
The ending break is also used in as the very ending to the song "Black Sabbath".
Also, the number sequence in the teaser seems to be geographical coordinates.
With thanks to LarsM:
Okay everyone, sorry for the snag – and thanks for waiting patiently. I've replaced the erroneous text file and started seeding the correct one.
Try this .torrent, and y'all should hopefully be able to resume downloading:
Gah, and I see now that I messed up and posted the wrong .txt file with the torrent. I'm pulling this torrent and will re-up it later tonight. >
The recording, with thanks to LarsM!
I was wondering about the title Kvestor. The word reminds me of quaestor, which was a Roman title for someone in charge of money and accounting.
Now, after some googling, I came across this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Questor_Tapes
Hardly any definite lead, but given Bent's preoccupation with sci-fi, it doesn't seem entirely unlikely that the title might have been inspired by this obscure TV movie.
Great King Rat: "Bent introduced "Sterling says" by saying that "this is world premier. We've never played this one live and tonight we're gonna… show you why!""
Huh, so either 2013-Bent is wrong, or 2002(?)-Bent was wrong when the setlists were compiled. Dampsaba lists Sterling Says on two dates in 1997.
@jules, if you liked the gig and want more you could always get Roadwork IV: Intrepid Skronk. It's a brilliant live record of the current lineup.
Small/intimate indeed! It's the main student hangout, with (if memory serves) reasonably priced beers. Tickets ordered!
Hint: check the link olax provided in his initial post.
Stained Glass played for the first time since 2002, then. Here's hoping for a recording!
