Speaking of laments and psalms, check out Baroness: Blue Record.
The latest ThÃ¥ström is streaming everywhere, and sells for NOK 59 (yeah!) on 320kbps MP3 on Platekompaniet. Rune Gramofon probably thinks all ThÃ¥ström-fans can't appreciate sound quality, or maybe that the sound is too simple, or that he is a digital sell out or something… Still 2 days to go until those not wanting to get extorted into buying plastic can listen to the unicorn…
Hm?
Take-the-physical-artefact-from-the-seventies move.
Yeah, AKA the we-dont-want-your-money move.
Platekompaniet says it's out in a month (9/3, meh!) as download, anyone seen it for sale digitally right now? http://www.platekompaniet.no/Search.aspx?q=motorpsycho&f=mp3
Bent says in the interview that they will play the record end to end on every show and possibly misc. encores.
Almost on par with that old story from Samfundet: some booker got a message from a band called Sonic Youth that he hadn't heard of. Told them to send a demo or something.
Have anyone recognized any of the two main riffs from the church concerts from these snippets?
"utgjør de såkalte «fire store» i norsk rock"
I also approve of these song titles, definitely.
Seeing some tweets about Starmelt, Wearing yr smell and In the family. Reaction to the church gigs, it looks like.
