I also remember the 2008 concert being a free concert.
I wonder if maybe they will do some reworked versions of the stuff they made for the outdoor Fredrikstad concert in 2024 that got cancelled because of weather.
Haha, I noticed the Gaia II visuals as well. First thought was “what prompt did they put in ChatGPT to generate these visuals?”
Mildly annoyed for about 5 seconds before I went back to enjoying the concert.Still think they haven’t quite nailed Neotzar live. Parts of it are still quite messy.
Agree with everything toresan said. Also want to add that the version of Lady May was really good. Still think the versions they played at Blitz in the original key with Järmyr can’t be beat, but with that Snah/Reine guitar interplay one can’t complain. Also agree that The Alchemyst was SPECTACULAR (best version I ever heard)
A bit disappointed they only played 3 tracks from the new album. Especially Stash and the title track which they just sorta rushed through in the beginning.
Also setlist kinda same-y. This is like the 3rd Oslo club concert in a row to repeat Ghost, Patterns and GT.
First ever MP concert for me on a Sunday, so that was a new experience
Yeah, this deserves a lot of kudos. Just another example that this is indeed a love cult
Finally received the CD today. A bit late, but a STG beer coaster was included so that’s nice
Next step should be to have the STG beer available @ Vinmonopolet, hint hint.Looking more and more forward to the Rockefeller gig now. Exciting to see how the new material sounds live (well, already heard Black As Night 3 yrs ago)
First listen on headphones when it dropped at midnight.
Fell asleep
Some repeated listens this morning, and it’s a grower.
Does come of a little “patchwork-y” when you look at the recording credits, but Deathprod co-producing probably helped it all come together.Reine got his first writing credit as a honorary Psycho! Guessing he wrote that opening boogie riff of TSMcR.
The Oracle is another MP classic (Snah Is God on that one), but I’m not sure if many of these songs will have any staying power live.
Need more listens, but I enjoyed the psychedelic hardrock of this one. MP has a way of making this retro stuff sound somewhat vital and fresh.
Just got confirmation e-mail that the record is now being shipped.
So check your e-mails, and later, postboxes
Agree with Tomcat, glad to see Dead Of Winter made its way to the setlist
Setlist scan on social media shows they played Stanley between KSD and Gullible. Or did they skip it?
@crunch: Ah ok, I wasn’t aware of that. I’ve only made digital purchases through Bandcamp.
@crunch: Hm, I’m looking at Bandcamp now, and there the vinyl is listed as €28,99.
And February 6th is Bandcamp Friday, so maybe you can save more by ordering then? I don’t know.
Pre-ordered. Free shipping for the CD, woohoo

01 FANNY AGAIN, OR
02 THE GREAT STASH ROBBERY

07 BLACK AS NIGHTThey fucking recorded that Frost cover they played on the Yay tour

@boomerformerhelm – Yep
Nice snippet of Gaia 2 in the clip.
Exciting to see who the mystery astronauts are.
Rest in peace, Spacey.
