Looks like the Bear Stone setlist was:
Cosmoctopus
Stanley
Psychonaut
Mountain
Rock Bottom40 mins. Bent had to play a borrowed bass due to SAS and KLM showing their true colours of incompetence

Yep, there was a thread when they released their debut last year. This one

First time in Bulgaria for MP, I think.

It’s pretty consistent and has unified/consistent songwriting + sound.Only song I don’t like is B.S. (that tanzband guitar by Snah, oof). Other than that, 8 lovely + well-written psyche-pop-rock tunes reminiscent of The Doors, Love, Moby Grape etc.
A bit surprised to hear that Bent doesn’t like it much. I consider it vastly superior to both LTEC and IALC (LTEC lacking energy+direction, while IALC’s 2nd half features 3 of my alltime least favorite MP songs)
Looks like Neigh is up in the international store now,
but not in the Norwegian store yet :(Thanks for the recording.
Damn, that version of PPPP is one for the history books
Bag inspection at the airport, they took out the “Shock Me” 7″ I bought in Leuven, to do a cocaïne swab test only on the record.
Haha! I don’t blame customs tho. The first thing they thought when they saw the Kiss cosplay on the cover was probably cocaine
Nice, more tour debuts
I’m guessing Laird of Heimly was played electric?
Hasn’t been anything acoustic so far this tour. The Alchemyst making its return. NICE
An interesting tidbit about Saturday’s gig:
They played 0 – zero – covers.
Big contrast to Rockefeller 2023 where they played 4.EDIT: And a big thank you to whoever uploaded their recording to Archive
What a band! It’s so easy to take this band for granted when they’ve just been churning out great albums and even better tours for 35 years nonstop.
Last night was pretty awesome. Unlike in 2023 when this lineup felt a bit sloppy and under-rehearsed, they were a lot tighter tonight
Songs from the new album mostly adapted really well live. A bit surprised they skipped Neotzar. But it was probably for the best since those 20 minutes gave space to some of the classics we got instead. I feel this was probably the most well-balanced setlist of the tour so far.
For those of you near the European cities they’re playing in April/May: MP are still alive and kicking
Good to hear, Aki
