Yeah, this one was pretty hard.
I did however vote for Blissard because: 1) The Nerve Tattoo is the best ever pop-rocker MP ever did and 2) The STG/Manmower combo is 14 minutes of sheer unadulterated majesty. HMF is however a great album, it just lacks that little x-factor versus Blissard…
Quote:Also, as an album, blissard (all killer) is sooo much better than TM (some filler) imo, but I guess the golden watersound wheel makes TM a favorite.I do not agree. Blissard could have been better than TM, yes. But the ending with Fools Gold and Nathan Daniels just totally fucks up the flow they’d been constructing for the 8 previous songs.
But if the album ended with Manmower, then I’d might agree with you  But then again, that would be boring.
The album Children of E.L.B is pretty damn good! Some beautiful melodies in there…
Btw Snah plays guitar on 3 songs: Utopia, Playground Memories and the title track.
I think MP pulled the plug. All the albums that were removed were those that they own their own rights too. The Voices stuff is still there for obvious reasons, while LLM and HMF are licensed to Rune (which btw are also removing all their stuff from Spotify January 1st 2011)
Then I’ll try one as well:
1. Junkfood Mailbomb
2. 7th Dream
3. Innersfree
4. Wishing Well
5. Little Ricky Massenburg
6. Sterling Says
7. Punch (if it can be considered a b-side or rare stuff)
8. Mad Sun
9. ICU
10. Eagle’s Son
11. The Entertaining Ape
12. A Saw Sage Full Of Secretion (straight into)
13. Flick Of The Wrist
And now it has become increasingly harder to make an MP playlist in Spotify, because quite a few of their albums have now been removed (with the exception of the Voices material and the newest Rune stuff)
Matchup #1 was a bit hard, but the rest was easy
Quote:Is it only me who sees an “optical relation” to mp’s “Heavy Metal Fruit” cover? There are visual similarities, yes.
Even though Demon Box was the first MP album I bought (though I’d heard Timmy first),
I think AADAP is better. More distinct variation, better songs and Un Chien which is better than all tracks on DB. So that wasn’t a hard choice.
Yay, I love competitions/polls!
My votes have been cast, the only one I had trouble deciding was group D. Other than that, the voting was pretty easy actually
Chien: It’s already on Dime.
Oh man. The taper deserves so much kudos as possible! You rule, dude!
Yeah, as a psychonaut I’m getting too spoiled. So I just take it for granted that they’re working on new material continously
Yeah, I think Geb got the year mixed up, including the Pisa-incident. According to Dampsaba, they played a three hour++ gig in Pisa April 2000, but they didn’t play in Pisa in 1999.
Well, at least there were no opera-singing!
