Still buzzing, indeed.
I tried to explain my infatuation with this band to a friend recently and told him there was a 15 year run (or so-ish) where every gig I saw with them was better than the previous one. And the previous one was the best gig I had ever seen.
This streak ended somewhere around the Jacco tour, no disrespect to him.
The gigs of the last two or three or four tours are yet again extremely solid, although maybe not quite up there among the best I’ve ever seen them do. Until Friday. Friday night in Het Depot just blew all the other gigs or of the water. And that’s without the classic MP song as encore. Friday’s gig was perfect. Sound, setlist, mood, it was perfect. And insane. Best ever.
And yes, they def played Magpie. It’s in my notes as well.
That was simply insane! Longest gig I’ve seen with them. Fantastic stuff!
TDDU, for f’s sake!!
Sound was brilliant throughout.
I’m completely floored. And exhausted!

Not from me, Anders, but there's a recording made from the gallery.
It'll make its way to us all at some point.
Great gig yesterday. NOX is a very special beast.

It's probably just a formatting dud of sorts, but when I listened to the album on Spotify in the car today I noticed the tracks listed as
N' .O.X. I-V
Where's that apostrophe coming from?
It's not like that on the downloaded media from bandcamp/stickman.
Good lord, what an insane track, though. I mean. Holy smoke. It's so rich!
Someone else mentioned they've had a few hits and misses trying to get their jams down on studio albums, and I agree-ish. It's occasional chaos and makes for sweaty listening.
N(').O.X, on the other hand was smack in my face from the first spin and just keeps growing.
What a band. I'm so happy!
I am also thoroughly enjoying the songs they've decided to wrap around this monster composition. Both sides A and D are great. Like Chrome is fantastic!
Their best album, perhaps? Side A guides you to the point where they say 'hey, here you go, just have at it!' and punch you in the face with NOX, before they let you down gently afterwards again, just to send you running back for another spin when the last notes of side D fades out.
A masterpiece!
Yup
This album is stellar.
Listening to it again and again and again.
My measure is usually to see how long it takes before I need to put on one of the old records. Of the later releases only HMF kept bringing me back for more, more, more.
There's no way in hell I'm switching this one off for a long while.
N.O.X. is so…I don't have words. I simply can't get enough.
Someone mentioned the tour in '21. Yes, please, with lots of sugar on. It'll be something else.
As for the missing bit, yes, I also noticed.
It's *there*, and I wonder.
…and dwarfs them all…
What he said ^^
Received the record today.
Ordered the LP. Yay.
Now the wait really begins.

Bernie, thank you very much for this!! It's excellent! When you mentioned it in Paard you didn't seem too sure when you'd get it out there, but man you've been busy, and you've done a fantastic job! I love it!
It's not always easy to find the right words to explain to people why I keep going to these shows again and again and again and again, and now I won't have to. I'll just share your movie. This is why.

I can only agree to what you've already mentioned here above. It took a little while before they got all cylinders firing, but man, when they did, it was glorious! The last 90 minutes or so were perfect!!
Must be the best version of The Wheel I have ever heard. Perfect sound, really heavy and very emotional.
I brought my daughter, we were right up front and center, and watching her staring at Bent screaming his heart out in The Wheel is something I'll cherish forever.
What a night.
Saw some familiar faces in the crowd, never managed to find you after the gig, though. Kippenhok, Jero, see you next tour!
And Thomas, I don't think we've ever met, but I think you were right behind me both in Amsterdam and Den Haag. Noting down the setlist on your phone as they played, right? I'll say hi next time.
Is there any other band one can see this many times and almost always come out with a sense that they're just getting better and better and better?? And almost all the gigs are off the charts fantastic? If there is I'd like to know…
edit: nice to see you again, Bernie! Looking forward to the vids!
