Indeed, make me wonder what would happened if "when the world sleep" was released
at the time? It also an amazing time , demon box, tm, blissard, tussler and
when the world sleep. How is it possible to create such great and diverse kind of music
in such short period of time?
Quote:I must admit the poppy tunes of LTEC and some that followed are not my fave MP stuff
I think ltec & phanerothyme are very important part of MP history, really nice records, and maybe the albums which are most consistent in entire MP disco. they are not second class in any way. the possibility to extend these songs when the right people are involved might turn out to be endless.
Super nice!
Lots of material to get into, highlight so far: Stained Glass & 577 and of course gebs little ricky.
Hi kids!
We have the following physically records (standard edition at least)
side 1 / 2: ship of fools / sleepwalking & lacuna pt I
side 3 / 4: lacuna pt II & manmover / unchien pt I
side 5 / 6: unchien pt II / taifun
The trick with two turntables is play the two splitted songs unchien and
lacuna without interruption, this is done by following order of actions:
turntable a: play side 1, turn record and play side 2
turntable b: play side 3, turn record and play side 4
turntable a: play side 5, turn record and play side 6.
Other option is of course to buy two sets and play whatever order
wanted without interruption
Uhmm, such layout:
side 1 / 2: ships of fools / taifun
side 3 / 4: sleepwalking & lacuna pt 1 / lacuna pt 2 & Manmower
side 5 / 6: unchien pt 1 / unchien pt 2
don't make any sense, impossible to play this "correct" even with
two turntables. lacuna pt 2 and unchien pt 1 must be swapped.
a the good thing is ability to play entire lacuna (or unchien) with just one
record.
Dream home Lo edition should of course been included, saving some tracks for Bents version!? 🌸
Geb!
Very nice! Thx for link!
Quote:Yes, I'll never understand what's so trippy or psychedelic about these low spotlights aimed at the audience. I found it annoying,
Indeed, it's plain stupid.
I can't remember any part of Maypole. Looking at the lyrics:

[Part 1: Malibu]
Out in Malibu where the rich folks live
On a mountain top I will put my tent right up
And be a holy man, oh, so deep and true
A shoeless holy man with a view
How could I ever tell a lie?
No truth would ever pass me by
How would you ever be in doubt?
Come see me, learn what I'm about
Come to Malibu
The Pacific air will let you disappear
Hear the music of the spheres
Feel the canyon heat
Such a magic scene
So benign, serene: evergreen
How could I ever tell a lie?
No truth would ever pass me by
How would you ever be in doubt?
Come see me, learn what I'm about
[Instrumental]
How could I ever tell a lie?
No truth would ever pass me by
How would you ever be in doubt?
Come see me, learn what I'm about
Malibu
Its very doubtful Malibu is anything else than first part of Sonata.
The period after Geb left was problematic, the Tussler stuff was already a bit boring and Black Hole/Blank Canvas was a disappointment, then Lucid Little Moments was released and I did not like it much.
Child Of The Future was a vinyl only release, not a great move. I was in doubt, however for some reason I accidently got to hear Year Zero at high volume, it was brilliant. To this day I still think it's the one of the very best moments in Kapstad era and kind of turning point for the "new" MP.
repost for non fb people please
They did the Oslo Konserthus trick version of Un Chien as a starter. Then the real fun begun…
K. Lo contribution’s in act and mood is just amazing…. Verkstedhallen gig kicking off the
tour and tonight’s show can’t be compared at all.
Hearing the opening of Taifun… it’s like a lost child coming back,
a feeling too complex to explain.
Lo to California
Lo-Mountain
Funny stuff, most of my favorite tracks are on these lists
lucky bastards would love to attend this show
