I've seen quite a few of those Strings of stroop offered for sale on ebay, but I'm not able to find any completed auctions.
Maybe because they are somehwat overprized?
Tweet from Stickfrau:
The Death Defying Unicorn enters the German charts at #87 this week!
Big Dipper Oslo and Trondheim had a limited number of signed copies of both vinyl and CDs which were sold at the release parties in both cities together with the DDU T-shirts
(T-shirts still available from Rune grammofon).
The record sounds way better with the signatures
I agree that a warm and sunny August evening might not be the perfect environment for this dramatic music. Better with a dark and stormy November night, and the opera is placed literary in the fjord with something which looks like a shipwreck just outside 8O
I'll take both :MPD:
The St. Olavs festival is July 28 – August 5 to be exact.
According to informed rumour there is still hope for a show at the St. Olavs festival in Trondheim. That would be early August if it happens.
And I found the first flaw
On the CD edition (Rune)(it's the modern kind where you can see the song titles in the display) they have managed to mix up the titles of song 2 and 3 on the first CD. And to make sure they have even misspelled "Though the weill".
The collectors value of this first edition just quadrupled
I guess it doesn't hurt that it is also signed.
If you should get so depressed as to wanting to sell your Lobotomizer or Demon box vinyls I'm sure we would be able to help you
This is the nice thing with these guys – always up to something new.
"Canned goods of the viennese persuasion" = sausages?
Another one from Morgenbladet
and one from Aftenposten
This was also mentioned in the Adressa interview (still not published on the web).
It's another first for them to play the full album over 30 shows, as they have never before played the same set twice. If the audience wants to hear something else they'll have to ask for encores.
Don't forget Pekka Stokke on lights. Based on earlier experiences we can expect a fairly far-out light show as well.
The review from Dagsavisen is now available. And a fairly  good one too.
That's just fine. No reason for pirate copying the records when you can buy them legit.
Two more articles on the subject in Adressa today, not (yet) on the web.
One regarding the St. Olav Festival managing to say no thanks to having a concert with Motorpsycho and the full setup (this is on level with the Oslo Opera turning down Tom Waits on his last European tour – how stupid is it possible to be?)
The other article is an interview with Bent. He is mentioning 30 shows planned for this season, which indicates that there must be more dates poping up later.
