Yes, that I do too. I have found that the front 90° are a lot more sensitive. Have a couple of distorted recordings thanks to that. Good for home use, perhaps, but for loud gigs I always use the rear mics.November 9, 2009 at 08:48 in reply to: Brussels Gig #14183
Hey Vortex, the info file on dime states you recorded the gig in mp3 format. What’s the reasoning behind that? I have a Zoom H2 as well and with a 4GB SD-card I can record 6+ hours of uncompressed wav on it, longer than the battery capacity.
Just curious. Not complaining.
Cheers for getting this up so quickly!November 8, 2009 at 20:37 in reply to: January new album!!! #14662
They had the Heavy Metal Fruit shirts on sale already on the previous tour. They must have been planning this a while.November 8, 2009 at 20:32 in reply to: Patronaat Haarlem, 5-11-09 #13971
Yeah, six thumbs up, bro. Thanks a whole lot.November 8, 2009 at 15:53 in reply to: Patronaat Haarlem, 5-11-09 #13962
Almost, in any case. There’s something going on with the torrent. It’ll be fixed and uploaded later.November 7, 2009 at 15:29 in reply to: Patronaat Haarlem, 5-11-09 #13957Quote:@Rune: How do I obtain a recording of this gig?
I will share mine on dime at some point, unless a better one appears first. It’s actually not *that* bad. Currently being remastered by someone else so we’ll just have to take our chill pills and wait for it.
I’ll link it here when I upload.
Btw, I think the No photos! No recordings! signs are there by default in Patronaat. Not to shoot your hopes down or anything. I would love a Roadworks IV – Feelin’ jammy in Haarlem release.November 6, 2009 at 10:53 in reply to: Bielefeld, 4.11.09 #14130
Yes, I met a guy before the gig who had a recorder on a tripod just in front of the soundboard. He was also filming the concert and would make this available as a stream on http://www.i-can’t-for-the-life-of-me-remember-the-fucking-url.de
Damn shame, because it would be awesome to see/hear.
My recording will be shared one of these days. I’ll post a link when it’s done.November 6, 2009 at 08:30 in reply to: Patronaat Haarlem, 5-11-09 #13950Quote:Rune, did you manage to tape it?
I did, but I am not sure I am happy how it turned out. A bit muddy at times.
Listening to Golden Core now. The Moog just kicked in. Ahh…bliss.
No distortion. Fuck me, what a band!November 6, 2009 at 07:46 in reply to: Patronaat Haarlem, 5-11-09 #13948
Pure magic from Sungravy till the end. Fantastic gig.
The jam in All is Loneliness was breathtaking. And they did the best version of 577 I have ever heard.
Mindblowing that one can go see a gig and get greener, taifun, manmower, plan #1, loneliness, 577 AND golden core in 2009.
And isn’t it just great to walk home after a gig like this?
Make Patronaat a regular stop, guys!!November 5, 2009 at 09:42 in reply to: Bielefeld, 4.11.09 #14112
Fantastic concert!! Really fucking great!!
Totally worth the drive.
The Golden Core. Live. Doesn’t get better than that.
(And now a bit of breaking news: The recording sounds fantastic! Will share at some point. )November 5, 2009 at 09:36 in reply to: Patronaat preview interview (very nice!) #14105
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. Will have to buy the paper today.
Nice quote: “Bent and I are a sort of vampires. We get a new guy in and suck him dry in a year or two.”
Let’s hope that Kenneth stays a little longer than that. My, oh my, what a drummer.October 30, 2009 at 13:49 in reply to: pre gig meeting in bielefeld ?1? #14331
Depending on traffic I will also try to be there!October 21, 2009 at 08:05 in reply to: The 20th Anniversary Tour #12494October 20, 2009 at 12:35 in reply to: The 20th Anniversary Tour #12492
Weird break they have now in the tour. Hope that doesn’t mean they alter eventual ending encores while they prepare for Urup.October 19, 2009 at 07:29 in reply to: The 20th Anniversary Tour #12488
I’ll make an attempt to tape Bielefeld, Haarlem and Deventer.
