My general philosophy on all this is like The Dude, just abide and go with the flow, ain't shite we can do about it anyway…
“This is a very complicated case Maude. You know, a lotta ins, a lotta outs, lotta what-have-yous.†— The Dude
“Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.†— The Dude
“The art of not reading is a very important one. It consists in not taking an interest in whatever may be engaging the attention of the general public at any particular time. When some political or ecclesiastical pamphlet, or novel, or poem is making a great commotion, you should remember that he who writes for fools always finds a large public. A precondition for reading good books is not reading bad ones: for life is short.â€

The horse now looks like the cover of LTEC…I think I'll get some weed and chill out to Pink Floyd.

March 30, 2021 at 19:38 #38391A couple of legal cases.
Top lawyer Dr. Reiner Fuellmich successfully prosecuted VW over the emissions scandal and convicted Deutsche Bank as a criminal enterprise. He is working hard, as part of the Corona Investigative Committee, to bring a class action lawsuit in Germany.

Meanwhile, in the UK, Michael O'Bernicia (The Bernician) has just laid papers alleging Pandemic Fraud.
Irrelevant and unpleasant comments to follow as usual, I suppose.

March 30, 2021 at 20:53 #38393Whats going on here?
March 31, 2021 at 06:12 #38394Never mind boomer. An unpleasant discussion that got out of hand. Doesn't belong on a fansite like this.
March 31, 2021 at 11:46 #38395Is "never mind boomer" the new "ok, boomer"?

The German Ethics Council declined giving any privileges to vaccinated people. How do you stand on the topic?BENT: I think vaccination certificates are reasonable, so I would not have any problem with such a regulation.
LAUT.de: Conspiracy theories are on an all-time high. Despite polls showing that a majority of the populace supports goverment measures, support for mandatory masks, vaccination efforts and hard lockdown rules are dwindling. Are opinions divided among your friends too?
BENT: Not really. We are so incredibly annoyed by all this Trump- and Alt right-bullshit already, that we reject any new conspiracy theories by default.
Now listen to a real-life Viking (!) and successful novelist from Norway, Bjorn Andreas Bull-Hansen. Here is his Wikipedia page:

April 27, 2021 at 15:51 #38401I wonder how many of them voted for Brexit.
May 29, 2021 at 12:02 #38402I would imagine, David, that some voted to leave and some to remain; but don't you think perhaps that many of them, like most intelligent people, saw that there were good and bad arguments on both sides? Maybe they weren't constrained by dumbed-down, binary thinking.
Such rights and freedoms as we currently enjoy are always threatened – but never, in the modern age, in the west, more so than right now.
Never take those rights and freedoms for granted. They were hard-won by just the sort of people you sneer at.
Here's what's going on in London right this minute. LOTS of people, but I don't expect much, if any, mainstream coverage – and that alone you should find troubling:
May 29, 2021 at 19:43 #38403Those freedoms were hard won, that's true – by the people who sticked to the – sometimes harsh, sometimes quite illogical, but still necessary – rules, by the people who inventend and produced the vaccines in very short time, by the medical staff that worked 24 hrs a day to save people and to prevent others getting sick. And by those who willingly undertook the risk to get vaccined with rather unknown medication. Those just protesting and refusing did nothing for the freedom they claim to defend.
As for Brexit: sadly only a small number of people understood that the whole Brexit campaign was an effort by a rich minority to free themselves from EU regulations – a class struggle against the poor that deluded the nostalgic, the old, the jobless and the economically depraved to vote against their interest, led by a populist and sometimes fascist, xenophobic political mob – UKIP scum and worse.
