really? thats great
great news indeed
yeah, same here. i like the 4 songs we already know more than the last 2 regular releases, and i really liked them too. this is really pure genius songwriting and producing. songs that grow and grow…
really? i think it was communicated that way. for me it works very well.
@ Blahyrkh: otherdemon pointed it out well. "mockingbird" is very nice (cute), i like the tricky groove that kenneth and bent lay under the very poppy guitars and vocals. "one way or another" reminds me a lot of crosby, stills, nash and young, especially the singing. that made it difficult for me in the beginning to get into the song, but after a few spins it grows a lot to me. "the jig is up/kiss the snake" is really cool with great singing a very cool rhythm structure with strange timing.
the sound is great in my opinion. very special and different from the mixes/master on behind the sun, or eggplant. not so clean, more… hmm i do not know how to say it, darker or dirtier maybe. very special to cut it short…
after listening to the 4 songs a few times i just can say that every song stands out for itself and is very very good
@ locustella, thanksfor the info. so i have a little translation work to do in the next days
hey alex: great!! unfortunately i am on holiday that time, but linda will make it to chemnitz
@ blashyrkh: no, i am from germany/tyskland
@ gbd: thanks a lot
how did you figure out the songtitles? i am a bit confused by the font that is used on the cover (but it looks pretty besides that)
just received the first part of the manuscripts. really like the songs so far. especially the longer one which has that deep blues drive, do not know the title
great artwork. i am satisfied and really look forward the 2nd part.
and how sounds the song itself?
@supernaut: yes that was leipzig. that arne h version would be on the top of my list too. but whip that ghost from yesterday was as well a very great jam, which was really the best version i've heared so far. with so great solos from reine (!!) and snah. i'm still impressed by that.
and the whole show in haarlem 2009 (all is loneliness from rw4 was recorded there) was an evening full of great jams.
manmower-all is loneliness-cornucopia-577 …magic…
brilliant concert. highlights for me: whip that ghost (best version i've ever heared), ghost, sail on (especially the jam part with that ac/dc beat from kenneth), hell (there the extended "ambient-freejazz" part before part7 was pure magic) and the acoustic set. the sound was very clear.
it was just anbelievable that they played for so long in that kind of sauna with nearly no fresh air to breathe. after hell it was like, ok, if they finish now it would be ok, because that was already so much of great playing. but then the show really started.
yeah, same with me
